Default What would you do in this situation?

So last night, I was working and there was a couple of regulars, young guys who come in pretty often and always spend lots of money and they are always fun to be around. Anyway, last night they came in with one of their brothers; the brother wasn't bad looking. He was athletic, tattooed and had a big beard so there was plenty of stuff to start up a hustle with. I knew he had cash since I had seen him over tip the bartender and throw money around.

Anyway, so the two regulars are talking to another girl and the brother is sitting calmly watching the tv. I go up to him and ask him if he likes back massages. His reply: He smiled, said "it's nothing against you, I just don't like to be touched. Just the product of a bad childhood."

I sat down next to him and we talked for a bit about some random stuff but the sale was lost. He was nice enough so he probably wasn't a stripper-hater, and looked me right in the eye which I noticed because usually the customer spends most of their time staring at my tits.

My thing is that I really had no comeback to try to get a dance out of him. Any advice?

That's a tough one. If you guys were having a good conversation, he would be a prime prospect for selling VIP/CR/a block of time so you could just chat and hang out somewhere more private -- no dances or touching. That's probably how I would've tried to frame the sale, but if he was just there with a friend watching TV, it's possible he had no intention of spending money on the dancers at all, despite being a good tipper.

I'm curious -- did he end up getting dances with another lady or otherwise spending money on the dancers?

Hey, thanks for the reply. No he didn't get any dances. My club is set up with the stage in the middle and the bar surrounding it. It was strange because he was tipping all the dancers well onto the stage for each dancer, then go right back to watching tv. (I probably made at least $150 off him alone) But the whole time he smiled and kept eye contact with them when they would come up to him. I didn't catch him staring at any of the girls even when they had their backs to him. Like I said before, a nice guy but I've never run into a customer like this before.

I don't think you did anything wrong that cost you the sale. It sounds like he just legitimately didn't want dances. Some customers are like that and even the best hustler won't talk them into it.

if you already made 150 off of him, what's the problem again? lol. you weren't going to get dances out of him anyways, and pushing it might have made him even more uncomfortable and cost you the 150

I'd just be happy I made that money. All else fails, sit and talk- while jiggling my tits. I get a lot of non believers converted.

I dunno about chargin for talk time since it didn't seem like he was really interested in talking. He was friendly but I got a sense of a "take it or leave it" attitude.

I mentioned it one of my friends and she thinks he might just be in a good relationship and was just dragged out by his brother, that he basically wasn't there for anything more that simple personal amusement. I dunno, whatever the case I was just wondering if anyone got railroaded by such a shutdown comment like that before.

Geez, you think you figured out customers and then you someone says this and it makes you wonder if you have no idea about anything.

^ a comment like that, there's really nothing i would do or try to convince him otherwise, that's definitely a "move on and don't waste any more time" customer. a lot of times, that's the best thing you can do

Thats what I ended up doing anyway. I'm always trying to make myself better at this job so I figured I'd poll some of the more experienced girls here and see what they thought. Thanks for all the advice!

Yikes, with a loaded remark like the one he made, it's best to just leave him alone. He might have lied to make you leave quickly...some people are clever like that.

You got $150 out of a guy without even dancing for him! Yay!
