I'm 5foot 2 and weigh 130-ish. I know I'm not slim but I don't consider myself to be plus size either, I consider myself to be an average healthy, female adult and am listed in the curvy category. I wear a size 4 to 6 so clearly I'm not a size 12 or above BUT according to the CDC, if I did the calculations of weight to height, I'm considered plus size. Currently I'm in the curvy category. Am I in the wrong category because a misguided CDC declaration? I find the hypocrisy in American media to be disturbing at the very least.
"Considering that the average clothing size American women wear is size 14 (plus-size is considered anything over size 12) and that the average woman in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is about 5-foot-4 and weighs 166 pounds..........."

If you're comfortable in curvy category go for it. I don't cam but I do some occasional modeling. I don't list myself in the curvy category because I'm only a size 3. I actually used to weigh 150 llbs and a size 10. At my skinniest was 102 llbs but I started lifting weights because my ass looked like an 80 year old woman's. BMI does not address muscle mass so I'm reluctant to go by it in most cases.
