Some people take flying way to seriously.

Also, there's been a couple similar incidents, since my original post..I mean, can't they fix the seats not to recline???

I can't help but wonder if they knew eachother and already had some type of mutual hatred going on.

It kind of sounds like maybe they overreacted landing the plane? As soon as he was moved to another seat there doesn't seem to have been an incident.
Honestly, I think we should have the right to recline our seats. If I sit upright in a seat for 4+ hours then I get back pain, although I have never flown anything but economy in my life, so perhaps I would be OK in another seat. Also, I CANNOT sleep in a seat that isn't reclined. I've had people recline all the way back and was still able to work on my laptop, altho I am only 5'5.
If it's really an issue, I don't understand why they didn't just move him immediately? When I flew to London I booked my ticket in advance and purposely picked a window seat in the front so I would have extra leg room. Upon arriving a woman and a baby was sitting next to me, and when you're in the first seat row you can't stow things under the chair in front you have to just stick them in that magazine storage thing. Well, I'm not a big enough bitch to say "fuck you and your baby, get your damn diapers and baby wipes out of there so I can store my laptop." My extra leg room was also not available as the baby carriage was in front of us. I was not happy. I raised my hand and they moved me immediately without incident!

I've strictly traveled to dance for 7 years but have traveled since the 90's. the seats have always reclined people need to get over it. I mean the media has nothing else better to talk about?! I have a bad back and don't recline unless the seats sit strsight up ( all planes are different). What's more annoying to me are the assholes around me sneezing and coughing all over the place without covering their mouths( so rude!) I'm going to work I don't want to get sick. Or the kid who screams the entire flight after I worked until 7am and am trying to sleep and their parents do nothing to soothe them. Or the kid behind me kicking my seat( hitting me righ in the back). Or the big lug next to me hogging the arm rest, hitting me with his knees. Or the people who eat smelly food and chew super loud. Please recline your seat all you want...

I know this stuff sounds silly, but if you spend enough hours on enough planes, these little things start to become serious irritants. I fly a lot and I'm sick and tired of being herded onto airplanes like cattle and stuffed into small seats. I sympathize with both of them. I wouldn't want to be jammed upright for hours either, but some of the airlines have made the economy rows so tight now that the person in front of you is practically in your lap when he/she reclines the seat all the way. I became so sick of these issues that I started tolerating extra connections, rather than flying on the most direct flights possible, just so that I could do most of my flying with one airline and get status, which means shorter security lines and, thank you Lord, upgrades.

^from the article it doesn't sound they were in economy though, they were in the next one up.

For many years, I was blissfully unaware that some people hate reclining seats to the point that they are practically militant about it. I mean, the seats recline, you recline it, as does the person in front of you, most likely. I was on a forum for one of my hobbies, and in the off-topic forum there, there were people seething about passengers who recline their seats. I was, honestly, shocked that anyone felt reclining was rude, but now aware of it I see it more. And I certainly empathize with those who have really long legs. Now I try to be a little more aware -- during mealtimes, I move my seat straight up again, and when I recline, I do it slowly so I don't crush a laptop.
