    Search Dominatrix

Apologies if there is already a thread about this but I couldn't find one. I've been dancing on and off for about 3 years and have been looking into other related work besides camming to supplement my income. I found out there is a "dungeon" in my city that is hiring dominatrixes/mistresses or whatever the preferred term is. I know that they don't have sex with the custies which is a MUST since I am happily/monogamously married. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this and what I could expect if I were hired?

From a customer perspective: While I don't know what city or which dungeon, but as a general rule the professional dominatrix industry is sex-free, at least on the surface -- no extras, no HJ, etc. In most cities, the dungeons are particularly strict about this (independent dommes sometimes offer more, once you get to know them), since they are an easy target for law enforcement.

Edit: many pro dommes claim that the only time they have contact with a clients genitals is when tying or smacking them. The corollary is that these are standard activities, so if you can't abide any genital contact at all under any circumstances, it's a little iffier

Going a step further, one of the things I'd say about the industry is that even pro dommes who specialize in sensual domination (still no sex, but more titillation) often do not have the skills that even an average stripper has to get a guy super excited without really much touching (something you have probably honed through low-touch lapdances and the flirting you did to get the customer to purchase one in the first place) -- this is an advantage you have that you shouldn't let anyone train out of you!

Thank you for your reply! I poked around their site and was looking at descriptions of different fetish play they offer. I'm down with most anything..The only one that kinda skeeved me out was women dressing up little girls/babies in "age play". I guess I'm just going to ask them if I can specialize in what I'm interested in or if I have to do everything if hired. I am also not peeing on anyone.

Well good news... In the decades I've been doing this, I've never seen a place force dommes to do activities they didn't want to do, and the houses always have lists of interests and limits of each domme (usually also published on the Web site), and before any session is booked, they make sure the customer's interests matches the dommes. I'd be leery of any place that didn't do this. If you look on their site, do the dommes list their interests and limits?

If you work in a dungeon, they make you do shifts that are like 6-8 hours. The reason I like camming is because I do not have to commit to a shift or specific days and hours. A lot of dungeons also force you to work as a sub before you can work as a domme. And you may be able to make more hourly on cam than hourly at a dungeon. I know that's the case with me.

The independent dommes that don't work out of a dungeon, often provide HJs and strap on (ass fucking) for the customers, which is why a guy would opt to see an independent domme versus one in a dungeon. Also, there are some that dually escort and offer domme services, and can obviously charge more for that because they are basically just fetish-friendly PSE escorts. That means that for domme only, girls who work in a dungeon, most often never make more than $100/hr when its busy (at least in my area, which is a pricey city), and that number can be made on cam. Especially when you factor in driving to/from the dungeon, and the time it takes to clean up after every session. A 1-hour pro-domme session easily turns into 2 hours of work, so cut the amount you profit per hour (pro-domming) in half to see how it matches up to your camming hourly.

    That is my experience.

EDIT: Ok I see that this was not posted in Camming Connection like I thought lol. Well that is my experience of pro-domme versus cam.

Most pro dommes do not have sex. There are prostitutes that will offer bdsm activities but this is completely different. I was a pro Domme about five years, never had sex and rarely allowed a customer to orgasm (you want the power exchange to stay in your favor so I would not let the cum). On the very rare occasions they were allowed to cum (super rare) I would make them cum into a shot glass and then take the shot (no touching on my part).

You are the Domme and can offer or not offer whatever activities your heart desires. I did not offer adult baby play, strap-on play (illegal and considered prostitution in my area), scat, or golden showers. I specialized in bdsm, cbt, electrical, mind fucking, foot fetish, corporal punishment, shibari, and cross-dressing (them). Make sure to be trained by good teachers with lots of experience, a lot can go wrong and you can seriously hurt a customer if you don't know what you are doing.

Also, I would recommend freelance (renting out the dungeon space, usually $75 per hour) over working for the dungeon. All of the dungeons I worked at charged $200/hour and their Domme employee got $100/hour. If you are freelance you can charge whatever you want and take a bigger cut. I did $550 for two hours (minus the $150 rental so I walked with $400) which was my minimum time; then $250 for every additional hour. The longest pro Domme session I had was six hours.

I can recommend books and most likely conventions/classes if you let me know your area, pm me for more info

I currently work in a commercial dungeon and it's my second one. Here are my thoughts...

First of all, you don't have to do anything you don't want to do. All sessions are negotiated before they begin, so if a guy is asking for something you don't want to do, you can always turn down the session. I have turned down a few myself and have seen other girls. Everyone has different limits and triggers and those are to be respected on BOTH sides.

I actually have LOTS of info but feel a bit uncomfortable disclosing it in the public forum. If you'd like to PM me, I'll give you my phone number and you can call me and ask questions. That's probably the best way. It sounds like you might even be considering MY dungeon...

I have been interested in branching into this feild of work as I have been dancing for near to 15 years & enjoy my fetish clients of the past. Before I moved I already knew all the different dommes & fetish crowd. But now I've relocated to NOLA & cannot seem to locate any info on dungeons. I would like to start with a professional dungeon as I would need real professional training -not just the strio club experience that I've had. Can anyone steer me in the right direction via website, chat forum or dungeon wise? It would be greatly appreciated!

You should be able to find one on google. Lurk dommes in your city and see if any of them list the space they work out of. A lot of dungeons also don't have names, so that may be what you're experiencing.

Because I get asked this a lot, unless you're in really specific niche cities with tons of foot traffic (LA is shitty tho), being on shift in a dungeon is not lucrative. The most they are charging is $250/h and you are only taking home half of that. You'll be lucky to have a few appointments everyday and you have to do a shift. The good thing is that you'll get free training. You could also train one on one with a domme but it's harder to find one to agree to that. A lot of dommes are also self taught and pick up things along the way.

A secret tool of the trade, which I will probably regret writing, is that you can upsell strap on to make money. Some dungeons don't allow it at all. Some say they don't allow it but girls do it anyway (think extras in a strip club). And many are pretty lax about it. However, strap on is 100% illegal so you are taking a risk with it. But it's just about the only thing that's really lucrative in domming unless you have years of regulars built up.

I've been curious about becoming a pro domme as well, I have experience as a domme/switch and have read a few books but I haven't been able to really establish myself as one. I'd like to apprentice under a domme for experience but the ones I've met don't want to lose clients to a newbie so they are unwilling to mentor.

Has anyone else had this problem ? How do you approach pros for mentoring?
