Default new model income vs. regular model income and inconsistent income questions

So hello everyone, I've been camming now for about a month. I was doing VERY well, $1000 on my second week! This week I have made about $600 but I haven't been on as much and the pay week isn't over yet. So that may be why.

What I am worried about is how this feels like it could be extremely up and down.

There have been times where I haven't gotten a private, or have gotten nothing but 2 minute privates, for hours.

Also the past 2 days for some reason I noticed there were many people coming in and out of my room. I don't know what they're doing but before most people would at least stop to say hello and possibly go private.

What I'm asking is, is this normal for everyone or am I begining to already fail at being a cam girl?

I love it, I love how I've been able to make as much as I did and I actually have a chance at a normal life with this potential income. I really need this to work to survive.

Any advice / wisdom / encouragement girls?

Yes, camming is up and down. That is why you stay on as much as you can and build build build regulars. Even if guys aren't buying shows (maybe the wife and kids are home, maybe he has to leave for work soon, maybe they are shy, whatevs), they might favorite you and come back. On slow nights, its usually my regulars who come and save my ass. And like tonight, I got on a little bit later than I wanted to. 3 hrs later :/ That left me with only 1.5 hours to work. :/ I log on and thanks to a reg who bought a 30min block and a Goldshow that a different regular put a huge chunk into, I made over $100 in a short amount of time. I was happy with that. The slow times will probably be even slower for you right now since you might not have a huge regular base yet. If you can make 1000/week and then 600/ week, it doesn't sound like you are failing too bad just yet Earnings fluctuate - with many different factors being the reason. Just stick with it, you will have good weeks and bad weeks.

Thanks girl you're right. I'm just going to have to stay on for a longer period of time and stop whining because I'm doing pretty well =)

Camming is a commission-based job. Any commission based job (i.e real estate, avon, etc...) by its very nature of being commission-based is going to have up and downs.

The only way to have a 'secure' and 'stable' income is to work at a job that pays you an hourly rate.
