"Dancing tables, making deals with devils like a drunk beauty queen"
This is amazing, thanks for the link!

Good for them! I support them and fuck these Islamic extremists who are attempting to take over all these countries. As far as I'm concerned all of these extremists deserve death, nothing less.

LOL that's awesome!

I hope these two women will be able to stay safe.

Indeed. While I applaud the courage these two girls exhibited, they now need to keep their Bhurkas on more than ever !!!
However, this is arguably 'political' content ... even if the majority of SW posters happen to agree with the girls' political statement.
As an american egyptian, i am happy to see these girls doing this. I love everyone comments, couldn't agree with anyone more on this .

While I admire their effort I think it was foolish for their safety for the one girl to show her face, and the picture heaved up a huge sense of disgust from me. I don't know. I think there are better ways to get your message which don't involve shit and blood.

Gross!

I have the weirdest boner
“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.”
My favorite part is the fact that she's wearing shoes, like, "Ewww, I don't wanna get any of this awful flag on my feet!"

The blood doesn't phase me. Shit kinda grosses me out, but so does stoning women for adultery and cutting off reporters' heads. Given ISIL's attitude towards women, I think it's entirely appropriate.
These women are very brave. Takes real gonads to do that, living where they do.

It is technically political, but I will leave it for now. If there is the slightest discord due to the political nature of the post, I will delete it. Sorry to all concerned in advance.

Amazing how many young a-holes in the US and Canada can't wait to join up with these ISIL scum. Really, you have no life so you decide joining a radical Islamic terrorist group is going to help you meet people?

I don't want to make this thread political but to focus on the sad men and women who join a group like ISIL because they can't address the challenges in their own private lives. A Muslim Scottish woman joins ISIL becomes radicalized just at the same time as her grades slip. Really which came first the personal failures or the radicalization? More importantly who is behind the recruiting of these fractured souls?

I'll also refrain from further comments, but I will point out that 'history repeats itself' ... or, at least 'it often rhymes'. Google 'Fritz Kuhn', for example. The point of course is that, historically or currently, certain 'immigrant' groups tend to maintain loyalty to their 'home' countries / cultures rather than assimilating into America's so-called 'melting pot' and incorporating American principles / values. This can become very problematic when America and their 'home' countries / cultures find themselves on opposite sides of a 'hot' issue.

I agree I think that's part of it and the phenomenon is not just relegated to the US obviously. But I also have a sense that these young people have a lot in common with the nihilism of the Columbine shooters, that is there is a synergy between embracing nihilism and on the other hand surrendering your free will to a fanatical theocracy. In either case, by surrendering you absolve yourself of personal responsibility for your actions, i.e. with nihilism nothing really has purpose or in the case of radical Islam the cleric told me to die in a car bomb. No god, or god's will, in either case it's beyond my responsibility. I don't know I'm sort of talking aloud here trying to understand the logic of these a-holes.
