I thought that this was a good site with information, but it only applies to Edmonton in Canada.

Prostitution in Canada is governed by federal law (Criminal Code), so different cities don't have different laws surrounding it.
The laws surrounding prostitution are currently in limbo too, as the Supreme Court struck down what we had back in 2013, and we're waiting on the proposed legislation to pass/fall.
You can learn more about it all here: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...on-bill-tabled & here: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...-Law-in-Canada
There is also lots of discussion and articles on cerb.ca, especially here: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=279

indeed Canadian prostitution laws are now in legal 'limbo' ... since the Canadian supreme court ruled all federal prostitution laws ( thus related provincial and local laws ) to be unconstitutional. The Canadian SC has set a deadline for the end of this year for all such laws to be rewritten. As such, there's some legal doubt as to whether a prostitution bust made after the SC ruling, and based on 'old' laws, would actually hold up in appeals court.
While a new national prostitution law's wording has yet to be finalized, it would appear that Edmonton is already following along the legal principles the Canadian SC set down in it's ruling. Most important among these are ...
- working as a prostitute i.e. exchanging sex for money is no longer, in and of itself, illegal
- CUSTOMERS can be busted for attempting to patronize prostitutes ... even if actual sex for money hasn't been exchanged
- PROMOTERS ( theoretically, escort agencies, strip clubs, any business or person who receives a 'cut' of money earned from exchanges of sex for money ) can be busted for promoting prostitution or 'living off the proceeds' of prostitution.
Obviously, such changes may have a very significant impact on the future of Canadian escorting and stripping industries ... depending on how the 'new' law is precisely worded.
