when i was pregnant the very first symptom i got was sore swollen breasts very early on, the morning sickness kicked in about the time i was able to take the test ( 3 weeks). every person, and every pregnancy is different though. if you aren't having any other symptoms, i wouldn't immediately jump to it being pregnancy ( unless you've had unprotect sex around the time you normally ovulate), could be any number of things.

Could be an acid reflux issue. Even if you don't feel heartburn, there's a thing called silent reflux. Nausea and vomiting are a big part of it. Unfortunately, silent reflux is a pretty bad thing to have. Diet and exercise can help control it, but surgery is needed in particularly bad cases where your esophagus is fucked up. Antacids help me during episodes, but they're not great to take long term. I feel I should warn you though in case you google it: some people report having it when they're pregnant. I've had it for a while and am not knocked up, but it might pop up if you research it.

My boyfriend just suggested acid reflux, actually. Do you feel nauseous in your stomach or does it feel more like motion sickness/"head" nausea for you? Because it's the latter for me.

I would go to a doctor? I mean it sounds physically uncomfortable, if not painful-- recurrent vomiting = owww-- and it's causing you mental distress and loss of income, so why not? Plus, you're going to drive yourself crazy researching multiple conditions online with as a vague a symptom as vomiting.
I have never been pregnant but I would think your body isn't flooded with hormone enough at this point for you to be getting sick from pregnancy, I know that's how girls always find out their pregnant on TV but I feel like that's not how it happens in real life. But I am not an expert so I could be wrong.

Morning sickness is caused by pregnancy hormones, so if you're not even late, it's really, really unlikely that it's morning sickness. I wouldn't worry about potentially needing an abortion, okay? There are dozens of other less-serious and more-likely things it could be. Hugs. Chill out!
If you're experiencing vertigo, you should see a doctor. Actually, you should see a doctor no matter what if you're vomiting every two days -- that's so rough on your tissues and your teeth.
I hope you feel better asap.

Thanks everyone. I've been pretty irresponsible and still don't have insurance, but if prilosec/modifying my diet doesn't help within a week I guess I'll have to suck it up and pay for a doctor's visit.

^I can't imagine that a visit to a doctor for a check up would be more than the loss of one nights earnings, which it sounds like this has already cost you! You could also always go to a free clinic. If anything is seriously wrong, which I highly doubt, best to nip it in the bud immediately...

Haha, so true! I know this post must sound pretty stupid but I just hate every aspect of going to doctors (minus the plastic surgeon of course!) which makes the irrational thoughts about costs easier. In this case I'll definitely save money in the long run if it continues. But hopefully the prilosec will get me back to work in a few days anyway.

^^^ is there a low-grade fever to go along with the nausea / vomiting ?

99.6, which is about a degree and a half above my normal actually but I don't know if that counts as low grade. Didn't think to take it before since I don't feel feverish. Why do you ask?

... could be the beginnings of a systemic infection. Do your 'new additions' feel warm at all ?

OMG!! That would be terrifying. They feel significantly colder than the rest of my body, thank god.. But I will definitely keep checking and talk to my PS if they start to feel warmer.

Not to worry you even more but, with this pregnancy I was having morning sickness 8 days before my missed period. The next day I took a test and it was positive. So 7 days before my period was even due. I wouldn't rule it out quite yet, but it does sound like it could be something else with the fever.
You could go to an urgent care clinic or one of those clinics in drugstores like Walgreens or CVS. Hope you feel better soon!

Had a good day with OTC meds, thank god. Went to work and took a very bouncy aggro cab home without nausea. Temp back down to 98's too. Hope it was just a weird bout of something but will take a prego test tm and if it's negative go to a Dr if this keeps up. Thanks all for the advice.

^^^ very good news that your temp is back to normal. Even better news that your new boob temperature is 'normal' as well. That would tend to indicate that it was indeed just a 'stomach bug'.
