I don't know if persona is the right term for this, because basically it's the same one. (I just want to be myself.)
I tried searching for this topic, but I'm not sure of the word I should be using, so I came up with results talking about having two different personalities and how to separate them via screen names.
That isn't my issue though.
I've been rethinking my whole stance as what I want to do in my future online, money-making adventures.
My idea is that I want to be an entertainer. Whether that just be an online personality, pro-gamer, casual gamer, etc.
My issue is that I want to have all these things connected, but should I do it under the same name?
[One thing I'd like to point out is that I've been a very uh... vanilla/softcore/"non-nude" adult worker this whole year, but I've been pregnant and ill and unable to do much. After my baby arrives, I want to keep pushing this theme, whether it's going to make me a lot of money or not. I just want to spend time doing things I enjoy doing, which is making people (and myself, even) happy.]
For example:
I'm known in various games under one name. I don't stream or do videos on this name yet, but people in the respective communities know me by this name. Along with continuing my whole softcore theme after I have a baby, I've been thinking about connecting my gamer name to my camming name. Just getting rid of my old camming name and being just ONE identity.
I don't know if this is a good idea or not, and I can't really think of the pros/cons with my clouded mind of curiosity.
I honestly don't care if people I know see me doing softcore stuff [flashing (which I don't think I'd do in public/free chat anyway) or dressing in lingerie], so I don't really think that is an issue. Other than that, I'm really unsure if this is a good idea or not. I can't think of any what-ifs, or complications that could happen. Or even good stuff that could happen?
Anyone think they can shed some light or their opinion on this?
