I'm thinking about painting my bedroom back wall a hot pink. Do you think the cam would go nuts. Because I know some colors your cam doesn't seem to agree with

I guess it depends on your camera settings with colors and contrast. Honestly I'd just throw up tempaper (temporary wall paper) if I were you just in case it looks bad.

Ooo color! My specialty!
Any color that matches your skin tone in a way is usually bad. Like tan skin, tan walls. Pale skin, white walls. Yellow or olive, any yellow tone walls. Either you tend to blend into your walls. For any video production, that's bad.
Try to stay away from yellow or green colors. Remember light reflects off of your walls and the camera's lens takes it in. Some people can look a little jaundice.
Cool colors like blues are great for most skin tones. Remember when you were school and school photos. The default background is blue for that reason.

^^ Jaundice... lol! but I thought that's why my custies love me so much!![]()

I'm going to be painting my cam room soon. The previous tenants went for a yellowish-brownish baby poop color. Not cute. I'm thinking dark purple.

I have two colors leftover paint that I plan to use in my background. One is a warm light pink, the other a cool light lilac. My skin color is green trying to look tan, and I usually feel like I look too blushy on camera --I still haven't found the makeup to look pale and delicate. I look more like I went to the beach without much sunscreen and ran all the way home.
So based on this maybe the lilac --as opposed to the warm color-- might be best for me?
My old house had cool tone, blue-gray walls and my camera LOVED it. My new house has off-white, yellow toned walls and it looked awful on cam. I'm renting, so I didn't bother painting anything. I put some curtains up behind my cam space and called it a day.![]()

Its months away but buying up non Christmassy wrapping paper is a good idea for backgrounds. Its so cheap after the holidays. I got two dozen rolls for .25 each. I get bored with the pink metallic I switch it out for the blue metallic. I even tried red and it worked okay. My best paint color was a tiffany blue wall.
My walls are kind of a dark teal but with proper lighting i can get away with it. Thinking about putting up temporary soft blushing pink drapes around my cam space. Need something less harsh.

No hot pink, it will look awful on cam. Plus, you don't want the first thing your customers notice to be that loud ass hot pink wall instead of you lol. Avoid yellows, they make it difficult to get your color cast/white balance correct. I just painted my office with a dark brown-gray (don't judge it looks awesome). Before, the walls were a hideous yellow-beige. And lemme tell you, I turned on my cam after I painted my office and BOOM my color cast was so right haha. Made a huge difference, like magic. Anyway, no to hot pink because it will be a nightmare on cam.

I was thinking of that too I'm vampire pale and i like pastels (mint green and lavender are my two fav colors) im about to decorate my cam space and plan on getting ether green or purple fabric and putting it up on walls because im renting and well ... fuck paint .... lol. If i do end up blending into my ci an just pull it down and get some 'goth'/royal purple - like the shade of those drawstring bags bottles of crown royal come in.
