    Default Modeling/Photography

Hey, so I am curious about doing model photography. I have a photographer and a portfolio however I don't know how to make money off of it? Are there any websites you know of that will buy sexy pics? How can I make money off of nude/kink/adult photography? Which sites pay the best?

I'm pretty sure mainstream/glamour models only make money off campaigns they get from major companies, and actual photos are just used for free promo in order to attract attention to themselves. The company itself would need to contract the girl to shoot for them, and would pay the model directly. And that is even more competitive than porn. You would need agency representation.

If you mean selling content you have already shot... You can sell picture sets on various adult websites like MGF or C4S, but that won't make you much money because the real money is in videos, and building a steady fan base through updating & interacting daily in order to entice your regulars into buying your newest videos every time you upload.

I don't really think there is a market for already shot photo-only content. I feel like the ones you do sell (like to adult stockphoto sites) will just all end up being purchased by escort agencies and then used on various escort backpage ads by girls who are then using them legally because they purchased the rights to use them from the stockphoto site. I don't think its worth it to have your face/body permanently used for escort photos.

If the photos good (i.e. shot well, lit well, and already retouched), you can submit the photos to various magazines like maxim, hustler, and various other more glamour or fitness model-oriented sites & magazines. But even then, its usually the photographer that submits them and only after he builds a reputation with that company for shooting quality photographs that company likes & can use. A model could submit them though, but there is no way they would pay you for them even if they use them in a magazine, because there are already so many women that do this for free in exchange for free promo.

I am not a photographer, but I do feel like the only people that could really answer this question further would be well-respected and well-published photographers who still shoot in 2014, and I don't think there are many (if any) on this site.

Since you already have a portfolio why don't you sign up for modelmayhem? A basic profile that allows up to 15 professional images is free. That is enough to get you started. Depending on what city you live in or if you have reliable transportation to get you to a close by major city, you can make some great side money. Especially if you shoot nudes. I have been doing this since 2008, and I make a 1/3 of my income this way working only 2-10 hrs of actual modeling time a week. It takes time to build up a good reputation to where you will be in demand and booked regularly.

I usually charge about $100 to $150/hr for nude shoots. Some examples are shooting nudes artistically out in National Parks, attending photo workshops where you get a set rate plus tips from all the attending photographers. We have those every Thursday here in Vegas and monthly in SoCal. You can apply to casting calls from all over the world on MM. You may even snag a job that pays you a great rate plus hotel and flight if it's in another city. I work with a lot of amateur photographers that travel to Las Vegas and want to shoot nudes. Modelmayhem is a great site for networking because it is really easy to check references. Plenty of photographers won't mind you bringing a friend to escort you on your shoot for your safety. I personally have never brought an escort to a single shoot in 6 years and I have always been fine. You will get tons of photographers inquiring about TF which mean "trade for" usually time for pics. Just say on your profile you are only interested in paid assignments only. I have never had a TF shoot in my entire career, they aren't necessary.

If it isn't actual modeling you were interested in and you just wanted to middle man your own pics and videos you can start with ATK but they need very good quality content. They have purchased stuff from me before. The thing is, the content isn't yours even though your in it. It belongs to whoever filmed/photographs it. So essentially they will have to be the one to send it and you guys can agree upon who gets paid what, Split it or whatever.

I work with a couple people who middle man content for a living. Basically these guys will get hired by other sites or even other C4S owners who need content updates, and they will pay the girl X amount and keep the rest for themselves. They are always looking for girls and I'm sure they will pay for content online if it were exclusive to them. However, I don't want to recommend them to any girls here because if you sell your content to them, just like the girl above was saying, your pics will end up everywhere! Pop up ads, all over those horny girls in your area that want to fuck ads. I've even seen some girls have twitter accounts made of them being impersonated to drive traffic to a members only website that was made of them without the their consent. Yes these fuckers will buy and gather so much content of you they actually create an exclusive member only site with your pics and videos. So please be careful if you choose to sell your content online.
