Default Fresh genital piercings and dancing - how do I do this?

So in a few more weeks I'll have the ability and the funds to get my first genital piercing. I'm not decided on what I want first, as it's kind of up to my anatomy and the answers I get here.

For consideration I've been thinking either a vertical or horizontal hood piercing, or a labia piercing (top side). Ideally I'd like a triangle piercing (I'd need to have a consultation first to see if I even have the space for it).

Has anyone gotten pierced while dancing? Would I need to take a bunch of time off? How long till it's comfortable? Will I be able to wear my usual thong and bikini bottoms? I figured I'd not wear booty shorts since the seam falls directly in the middle, whereas bikini bottoms have a place for the vulva to go at least.

For what it's worth, stage shows are full nude and lap dances are bikini only and no contact/air dances are the standard.

I am a little worried about that one or two random handsy blokes who might bump it or something.

Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated, thank you

I had a double header (vch and hch) and went to work the next day. My body eventually rejected the hch but I still have the vch. Just keep your nana clean like you would with any other piercing. Oh yeah watch the fishnets!

Sweet! I've been reading more and more and I'm pretty sure I'll go with a VHC. But if I had a HCH then I could get a curved barbell that would rest nicely on either side of my clit... Will definitely watch the fishnets.

I haven't had a new piercing in two years. I feel so strange

I have a VCH, and I'd say it depends on what contact is like at your club. If it's topless only and you don't do very high-contact lapdances, then you should be good to go right after. But if it's, say, a nude club with lots of grinding, I'd give it like 5 days - a week. You don't want to risk infection with it being out in the open for long periods, and it will be very sore the first few days. But genital piercings heal quickly. Mine stopped hurting within a week and was completely healed in 3. If you have any concerns, better to just take the few days/week off to give it proper time than risk it. You won't need that much time.

Good deal. I wouldn't mind taking a few days off.

Now to be honest and a little TMI - I'm doing this mostly for "benefits" rather than adornment - am I correct to assume that a VCH would be more what I'm looking for?

I had a VCH before I started dancing, so can't help you on the time off/recovery question. As for "benefits," personally I found that I had to take the piercing OUT during sex if I wanted to have an orgasm. It just wouldn't happen while the piercing was in. Overstimulation, maybe? Who's to say. I've of course heard the opposite though. If it doesn't "benefit" you, you can always take it out. I can barely see the piercing hole and I had it for maybe two years before taking it out.

My VCH doesn't do much in terms of sexual benefits. But my barbell is small and I never went larger. I have to kind of push it out of the way during sex cuz it just gets in the way during, and can even hurt if someone is too rough with it. I never really bothered with trying to get anything sexual out of it, but I was told by others that if I wanted that, I'd have to get bigger and bigger barbells and try to switch them out periodically so you don't become "numb" to the same one being in all the time.

I've had my VCH for about five months now and am planning on getting my HCH in the future, once I can afford to take time off work. I keep my VCH in during sex but I also have a short barbell, and it really hasn't changed much in my sex life other than I get off from oral stimulation much faster, I can't use a vibrating toy while it's in (it just feels like a jackhammer on my crotch) and walking around naked feels slightly different because it gets rubbed by my thighs. But I've had the same gauge for the entirety of my piercing and haven't experienced any numbness or lack of feeling.
It took me about two weeks to feel completely comfortable with a full range of movement and even then, sometimes I'll sit the wrong way and it will not really hurt per say but there is definitely a pinching feeling on occasion. That being said it's probably because I need a smaller barbell.
As for clothing, I usually wear a comfort thong from Body Zone (no weird seams, the fabric is SUPER soft, perfect imo for that kind of thing) under my boyshorts, I noticed I don't like cutoffs as much as I used to (yikes ow), and as for handsy folks, I just explained that it was fresh and not to touch it because that isn't sanitary. If they messed it up in any way they would pay for me to get it repierced, etc.

I think I worded that incorrectly. I meant more like, if you switch to a larger barbell, and you get used to it, you can't really go back to a smaller one and still feel the same sensations you used to with it, and then maybe you experiment with a larger one and then you're "stuck" there just being "used to it," again... or something. Rather, it's better not to "get used" to something larger in the first place by keeping it in for a long period...? Like I said, I never experimented with it myself - this is just what I was told from others. I/they could be completely wrong. Just trying to shed some light on things I've been told lol

I also haven't lost feeling from mine, but I wonder if I tried a bigger one for awhile if things would be different if I went back to my small one.

I have a triangle and a VCH, and while I can't tell you about how it would affect dancing, I can say that having both is more annoying than sexually beneficial. My boyfriend is always bugging me to take them out because they get in the way and I have to watch what kind of panties I wear because sometimes the ring and the barbell pinch my clit and that shit is not pleasant. I can't say I've noticed a significant difference when it comes to orgasms/sexual pleasure.
I got my piercings for aesthetic reasons and sometimes I think about taking them out, but for the most part they don't really bother me and if I did, I'd probably never get repierced.
If you do get a triangle piercing, it's a bitch to heal- at least mine was. It's deeper than a hood piercing and is a bit more temperamental healing wise.

But, if you dance defensively and keep it clean it shouldn't be a problem, they're hardy piercings even while healing.

They're really pretty, I'd advise getting a thicker gauge if your anatomy is suitable. My hood is 14g but my triangle is at 10g and I wish I got it done at 8g.

Okay, so I guess my experience was a bit different from everyone else's. I got a vch before I started dancing, and wow, that was painful. I couldn't even walk correctly the first day or two afterwards, and it bled a LOT. So I would suggest planning for a few days off just in case. You should be good to go within a week though, they don't take long to heal.

In terms of any "benefits," I've experienced some, yes. But I wouldn't get it done for that reason alone, I think you'd be disappointed.

I had a hood piercing for about 5 years. I literally got it pierced, and went to work 2hrs later for a 7hr shift (the club at the time was no nudity, no contact). That obviously wasn't a smart idea as it was very painful and sensitive that entire night. It didn't bleed or feel any different the following day or anytime after, but my pain tolerance is pretty high so that might explain it. When I switched to full nude, full contact clubs, I thought the piercing would help me stand out from other girls. Instead I always had to be on the defense more so than normal to make sure guys weren't trying to touch it/rip it out (I had a few close calls), and it made lap dancing and stage dancing quite uncomfortable. I feel 1000x better dancing since I took it out. If I knew then what I know now, I never would've gotten it. It didn't improve anything sexually, and it got in the way of work.
