Default What do you consider good hourly earnings?

This is a question that's been popping into my head lately.
Maybe because I know I am (well think) leaving cams in a few months.

Some days I do question whether cams is even worth it. Maybe I am on the wrong cam site and should cam elsewhere.

But what do you consider a good hourly rate something your pleased with? In the camming world.

Minimum wage for a vanilla job in the UK is around $11/£6.50
Some hours I barely make that!

My other at home job which I don't do much is around $18-$22/£10-15 an hour

My rule is I'm satisfied if I make over $30/hour. I'm not jumping for joy, but I don't EVER complain about any shift that averages over that. My average hourly is $50-100 depending on the shift. Everyone is different but think about what you're averaging vs what you are happy with.

I consider anywhere from 25 - 40 an hour good. Anything above that is great. 100 per hour has me doing cartwheels! lol

    Wow, I am so cheap.
a good hourly for me is £10.00 an hour, if its a super slow, every ones watching -input sport here- kinda night
If it a busy night £26-£60 is good for me.

This is a question I have been wondering myself.... How much an hr is good ..for a mid beginner in camming ( being that a beginner makes more than a midbegginer due to being promoted as a newbie ) also are you split camming to get that hourly rate or just one site ...how long have the girls managing 30$ hr been cam girls?

$75+ per hr is my minimum for no complaints. I do anywhere from $60/hr (slow night) to $100 or more an hour (good night). So $75/hr is a good medium ground for me. This is splitting 2 sites.

Been a cam girl for a long time though.

    Why does it matter?
Im sorry I just never get whats all the investment in other girls income, how does it help you to know how long it took? Would it inspire you more to make that 30? or would you just quit cos people where making that 30 on their 1st night and never stopped?
Now how the fuck is Sarah time pulling out 60 on a bad night?
How are you doing girl? I have to smile just to get my £10 on a slow night, I m naturally an evil person so it hurts my soul a little.

Of it. We all have to see what works and what doesn't work for us in camming not everyone will be the same and SW helps out in seeing what we might've overlooked or haven't tried.

I'm okay with $30/hr, happy with $50/hr, and thrilled at $75+/hr. I average $50/hr on MFC and $40/hr on SM.

I think it's normal to wonder if what you're making is considered "good" or not, when you're starting out. Although "good" is completely relative, it can be nice to know to help gauge your expectations and goals. If you're making enough to pay your bills and have money left over, I'd say you're doing good regardless of the number.

How the fuck am I pulling out $60 an hour on a bad night? I've been doing this a long time, I'm good at it, and because of that I'm in the top rows of Streamate. Do you ever read the camming rocks thread? This isn't an uncommon hourly rate at all.

Since we work in a career that is commission-based -- I don't really understand why hourly would matter at all.

Monthly, sure. Even weekly I could get.....but hourly to me makes no sense. I personally can't imagine asking a house retailer what they made hourly since it really isn't applicable.

Especially since it can be so drastic from one hour to the next!

I only track my hourly anymore because I have it on my spread sheet and it calculates automatically, so I know it. Other than that I'm far more concerned with my daily amounts or weekly amounts than hourly anymore. I use to care a lot about it for some reason, but now. Meh. I don't care as long as I make what I need in a day or week. But, then again I only have a certain amount of hours available to me on any given day or week, so I do have to make at least a certain amount per hour to make what I need per day. So I guess that's why I pay attention to it still. But definitely not as much as I used to!

LOL at the bold and gif thanks bb <3

That is kind of my point.....if you are going to average it out then it isn't really an hourly wage when you consider in all the factors, YKWIM?

I'll have a bad hour and log off. In doing so, I'm taking away all opportunites for my awesome clients to take me into shows and improve my hourly average.

A 'good' hourly average will also depend a lot on what style off camming you enjoy. Some models (including me) enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere. They're not always really pushing for a show. Their averages will be lower than some one who logs on, hustles, does a show, logs off, and repeats.
I am a spreadsheet addict when it comes to camming as well....and for me personally I just feel that if you just flat average everything out to an hourly wage then it is going to cause you to end up missing some really interesting patterns in your income.

I am all about percentages. An example would be how much more have I made this week on this day then last week on the same day. Is the overall trend going higher? Lower? For me personally, I find that only looking at hourly is going to get you lost in the details instead of the big picture.

But that is just me.....everyone does things their own way.

I like to be earning at least the same hourly rate as I was in my last job, and although that was full time, I wouldn't earn that much working part time in another job now. Someone who had worked in the business for many years told me that you're doing fine if you're earning £20/£25 an hour. When you consider the alternative (especially if working part time) could be at minimum wage, or a zero hours contract, it's not hard to be better off camming.

I can understand why an average hourly rate would be relevant. Even in the club I tend to average out my hourly wages--since I've been dancing for almost a decade I'm not happy unless I'm averaging $80-100 an hour, but I just started camming and I'm brand spankin new so I make around $20 per hour. Which isn't discouraging for me because now I see that I'm not THAT far off from making close to what more experienced girls are making I did the exact same thing when I entered this industry at 18---I wanted to know how much the top girls were making so I could keep my expectations realistic and set goals for myself!

I like the ideas in this thread....so I wanna chime in.

I worry about hourly, WAAAAYY 2 much probably. It has driven me to straight log off in both cases, doing great or bad. If I am REALLY sucking balls after a couple hours, I leave because I feel so unaccomplished (and at times really unlikeable, unattractive) at those moments, but I never know what could have happened if I just stayed. If I am doing HIGH like top-row girls HIGH an hour, which happens EVERY blue moon btw, I get super excited and just log off and have an inner-me party, log back in shortly-have a regular hour or two, and think to myself...f**k that I made enough today and log off and do around the house stuff.

I feel comfortable at 30+ an hour, that my usual expected, I have had 100+ hours and that would be lovely to expect daily, but I am not there yet, not sure if I ever will be...because of the way I chose to handle this *opportunity*. I only work SM and only when it suits my attitude, time schedule, moods. I work when I want, and I love that freedom.

But really, lately, I have only been making like 20 an hour. Have had $4.00 nights, REALLY.

I guess what I am saying is that, sure it's probably good to know how you stand compared to others..what to aim for, when to strive for more, that this much WAS accomplished before in a day, but if, in the end, you are (IN YOUR MIND) accomplishing ENOUGH to do better than what YOU know YOU would be doing without camming (whether min.wage bs job, high $ bs job) then just go for it and make the most of it.

I love camming!! And whether I decide to stay true to it, or not...I LOVE STREAMATE!! << With all her sweet boys, perverted boys, friendly boys, even the rude ones. This job makes me happy...on a $200 week or a $1000 week!

I average about 30 -40 an hour on Cams with a placement of 1st or 2nd row. I am happy with that being that I usually work days. On a bad day I pull around 15-20hr, which is still better than a vanilla job so I don't complain .

I look at the bottom line- what amt will be on my check the most. But like Classy_Katy, I break down what I make into hourly for comparison to my my vanilla job pay. Just for that comparison alone. As a fairly new camgirl, it is nice to know what the possibilities really are even though they vary.

$30 is decent, $40 is fine, $50 is good, and $60 is excellent. I look at my weekly averages more than daily averages; it's better for budgeting.
