Sorry, you want to be a dancer on Second Life or you want to be a dancer in real life?

I gave you a few threads to read in the other work section. Real life strippers can not help you in Second Life. Just like Second Life dancers can not help girls seeking to become real life strippers.

I have been on Second Life since 2008. It takes time to get to know the ins and outs first including making your appearance attractive. Most places want you to be at least 30 days old in order to apply. I suggest that you get to know the basic things like how to change your appearance before diving into being a dancer or escort.

    P.S.
Watch some video tutorials online by Torley Linden via youtube, that should help you greatly.

Yep. Though the recent news of them building a new platform and making it sound as if people will have to start all over if they want to try the new platform as pissed a ot of people off as they think they should be putting their efforts into SL to make better.

Man, I miss SL. I wonder if designers have improved boob attachments yet...
Exotic dancing is like any other job.
If you work in an office, you wear dress shoes and a suit.
If you work in a restaraunt, you wear skid resistant shoes and a uniform.
If you work in a strip club, you wear 7" stilettos and lycra g-strings.

    Whaaaaaat? Ok, do tell.

Funny story, but second life dancing is actually what sparked my interest in ACTUAL dancing waaaaay back in 2008 when I had just turned 18, had my wisdom teeth taken out, and was stuck in bed for like, a week. I discovered SL, and quickly dancing. I haven't been on in years, but I could probably still remember my user info. Is it much changed since? I remember back then being able to write good dirty talk etc was also a key skill along with appearance. I know there were areas where you could meet real cam girls and set up appointments...is this what you are talking about or???

Regarding the OP's question, I don't know if this is still valid advice, but basically, make some friends and they will give you free shit they no longer want. I never spent a lot on my appearance (lol...also true for real life dancing!). You might want to invest in a really nice skin and hair eventually but you don't need it to get started. Wayyyy more important to be able to write well and be a good conversationalist...also as in real life dancing! Just set yourself up with a decent avatar and search for some clubs, talk to a manager and go. Enjoy

    Odette,

I would say that Second Life has been quite profitable for me overall. However, most of my money comes from extreme fetish guys and sugar daddies in Second Life I do not cam in Second Life but I just do phone sex there. Usually, I offer very extreme fantasies, GFE, and Findom only. I would say that working at Bishes Club can help you gain more high-end clients. PM for more details

I may have to eventually get back into playing. An ex actually contacted me last night to thank me for introducing him to the game years ago, because he apparently made a small fortune off of it. I used to have a lot of fun with it back in the day and made a few hundred US$ a month off of it. Maybe I could do it more seriously as an in-between when I can't work in RL.

Well, I am talking about real money that gets send to my paypal account. For example, say you make 250,000 linden dollars a month to start. In dollars, that is between 950 to 975 usd.

Yup, Linden$ have a real world exchange rate. The current exchange rate according to the LindeX is L$248 to US$1.

Anyway, Dona, is Paypal the only way to receive real world currency these days?

Is it a little harder for new girls to start out on SL? I mean well technically, I'm not new to SL as a player, but I would be new if I decided to make a new account and start off as a dancer...
