Default filling out an application, what do I put for job description?

    hi everyone

Im moving out into an apartment and on the tenant applciation its asking me what my current job is and what I do
I work on mfc and I know im self employed, but im not sure what to write for occupation (I cant write stripper/online porn or whatever haha)
and its asking me for my 'employers contact name' would I put MFCXY (thats what it says on the mfc tax papers) or just write my own name?

    thanks for input!

Self-Employed, or Entrepreneur, if you put mfc, they are going to want contact info like an address and phone number, and your not technically an employee of them if the landlord goes to the trouble of calling

I've always just put self-employed internet customer service rep and shown them bank statements of paycheck deposits.

"Self employed - customer service rep" works fine for me.

Ditto what everyone else said. Self-employed is all I put anymore. When asked, I'll say something about doing transcription work, customer service, digital consulting--internet stuff that's not gonna have a major paper trail outside of bank statements.

I just put "independent contractor online customer service" on my apartment application. I actually used one of my checks from Streamate, because it just says ICF Technology Inc. No one bothered looking into it. You could also just pay all your rent upfront if possible. In my experience, if you do that, most places don't even care if you're employed or not.
