Default Should I stay or should I go? (long)

I had another crappy night at my club last night, and now I know why I haven't been able to break past $300 at this club. There are a lot more extras going on than I thought. As far as I know, there's not too much in the normal LD booths, but basically all the CR's are extras. Last night I made $80 and the other clean dancers made the same or worse. About 4 girls walked out with $500+ because they got CRs all night. Almost all the customers that came in were looking for sex/bjs...One girl got a CR, got in a fight with a customer when he pulled his dick out and had a panic attack..Then as I was leaving, I heard the back room bouncer (who is responsible for protecting us if things get out of hand) saying about the incident "Well if I paid $500 and didn't get my dick wet, I'd be pissed too." So I guess fucking in the CR is just accepted here. No wonder I've never been able to sell a room. Also this club is "full contact" and while it hasn't been traumatizing, it's been a huge annoyance and grosses me out for the amount of $ I'm able to pull. I made so much more $ at my low contact home club. I've been planning to save 3 months worth of expenses and move back to my old town and work there again......but now I'm thinking at this rate it's going to take me FOREVER to save and move. I'm wondering if I should just take the plunge and move there within the next month? Every other Chicago club I've tried has been full contact with rampant extras. I thought this place was different but they're just better at hiding it. I've been here for almost a month and still haven't brought home more than $300 after tip outs, after working my ass off on busy nights.

If the club leaves a negative attitude or bad taste in your mouth, it's time to move around.. I think extras happen in *almost* every club... stay positive about your ability to clean hustle find and find a new club..

Yes I say move. That environment is neither physically safe nor mentally healthy. The bouncer's attitude has me as scared for you as the customers' behaviour, bc that's not the kind of thing a person says who will have your back when the fit hits the shan. Hope you can find a better club soon!

Since you're planning on leaving this city anyway, what's the sense in waiting if there are clubs and, more importantly, money in those clubs, where you want to move? I just don't see what's holding you back.

Unfortunately, this has become the case in more and more clubs. Just as unfortunately, it doesn't leave many $$$ opportunities for 'clean' dancers besides A- competing with the 'extras' girls stroke for stroke, or B. moving on to different areas where clubowners and club customers don't consider 'extras' to be the 'new normal'.

As you have already apparently discovered, continuing to work in an 'extras' club is the worst of both worlds for a 'clean' dancer.
On the one hand, your earnings potential is going to be disappointing. On the other hand, if the club is eventually busted due to those 'extras', there's no guarantee that you won't be swept up right along with the 'extras' girls and bogusly charged. And on the 'third hand', the club may actually start to view the presence of 'clean' dancers as a financial liability ... i.e. 'taking up space' without generating a cut of customer CR money for the club.

Sometimes, it just takes patience. Maybe give it some time to see if things are always that way, or if it's been an unusual week. I've seen that before.

Thanks ladies. I think the part that irritates me the most about this is that there are posters all over the DR saying "It's illegal to even talk about doing extras. Don't do them and don't even talk about them." etc. which makes me wonder if they've already run into some trouble with this before? The RULES say we can't even discuss prostitution but it's clearly going on and much worse than I thought. I think I will be planning to move within the next month or so, as soon as I can find a place. :/

I wanted to save up a little safety net since for a while I'll be the only one working and bringing my husband and son with me. My husband will obviously have to quit his job as well since we're moving 3 hours away. If it was just me I'd be long gone. I'm thinking of taking a little trip and seeing if I can track down my friend/ex roommate who I believe still works there...Maybe stay with her and work there on weekends for a few weeks? Idk we'll see.

I would leave, if extras are the thing here then your not going to do well there, I worked in a dirty club for a while and was always lower earner there due to being clean and most of the customers were regulars, I was deffo in the top 3 hotness wise and did ok at for a few shifts until the customers knew I was not dirty, I'm so glad I left, the owner told me I was lazy while turning a blind eye to the extras, it's so not worth it. You will find somewhere better.
    xoxo

If you're happy working in a club where the bouncers literally can't be paid to care abt your safety, I guess whatever does it for you, but I think it's piss-poor advice to suggest OP do the same.

If the new club that you're going to is only 3 hours away and clean, it might be a good idea to take weekend trips for two reasons. In addition to the benefit of a clean club, you can also start building up regulars sooner, rather than later.

Dirty clubs are hard to work in. We've had an influx of dirty girls lately and some have turned dirty due to desperation or just stupidity, but there's enough clean dancers on most shifts to starve them out. We don't leave them any opportunities, we bust them out for trivial shit, freeze them out socially. We don't hustle together like they do (dirty dancers are like Sith around here. 1 master and 1 apprentice,) but we have an unspoken agreement to watch eachothers back.

But, if clean dancers are a rarity, there's just no point.

^That's a good idea. 3 hours is a totally doable weekend or even week-long trip to build a safety net. Your husband can also start job hunting so maybe you can all move once he has something lined up. Or, you could move first and dance like crazy to cover expenses/savings, and then they move as well once you either have a healthy safety net or when husband finds a job in the new city.

I don't know what field your husband is in, but the job market in many sucks right now, so it's not wise for him to quit without anything else lined up. 3 hours away doesn't even make him a long distance candidate since he could theoretically drive up for an interview if he can get the day off his current job.
