    Default quitting ecig

so a year and a half ago, you guys recommended i quit smoking with the Ecig, and it was one of the best things i ever did. quit smoking almost cold turkey and never had to light one up again, and don't plan to. but now i'm spending 106 bucks every 5-7 days, and its just SO expensive!! i also have to drive 40 minutes to buy them, so almost feeling like i'm a slave to it. i plan on trying to quit this week because i can't afford to go buy anymore, and i just wanna be totally free. i'm a "fiddler" i always have to fiddle with something, and its the hand to mouth that gets me ( i'm down to only 0.6% nicotine and i'm sure i could deal with 0 nicotine from here on out). somebody mentioned cutting straw to cigarette length, any other tips? i feel like this is going to be just as hard as giving up the real ones, now i don't have anything to wean me off...

Maybe some kind of breath mints? Or how about sugarless gum?

Costs $106 for 5-7 days?! Was that a typo, and you meant 16? Even then, that's an insane number.

There's a lot of great Reddit communities about ecigs. Try searching /r/electronic_cigarette and working your way down all the resources on the right side.

There's no way $106/week at 0.5mL makes sense, which brand are you buying and what's your rig?

I've spent maybe $120 on my ecig since I quit smoking cigs in January, how on earth is it so expensive for you to use an ecig? That's almost worse than buying a pack a day of regular cigs!

I have an oral fixation and constantly need something in my mouth (lol), and I have also used toothpicks and suckers and gum/ mints.

nope, no typo unfortunately. each pack contains 5 cartomizers, and is $15.50 ( plus tax)..i go through a pack and a half a day because they lose flavor and start tasting like straight chemicals after a few hours.. its "green smoke" a notoriously expensive brand but they are the best i've ever tried, great flavors, high quality ingredients, hits the back of your throat, you don't have to pull hard on it..and i'm constantly smoking it! i tried quitting yesterday and got horribly bitchy and panicked. but its making me soo broke!! between my suboxone and anti depressant prescriptions ( no insurance, another 100 bucks a week not counting 200 for the dr once a month) and my ecig, its like i'm paying off a mortgage!! on top of my real rent and other bills. just so sick of it

I quit my e-cig and even though I was on 0% nicotine, it was SO hard. I had crazy withdrawls and the whole shebang.

I think the only reason I was able to quit was because I hadn't ordered an adapter for my cartomizer, so i literally couldn't smoke. Perhaps that would be your best bet too? To just stop ordering/buying cartridges so even if you wanted to smoke you couldn't?
