Can't cook much, but I do love canned peeled artichokes, already cooked rice in a bag you micro, & the natural sardines, or low-sodium Albacore tune. I get plain water crackers or whole grain

I LOVE canned artichoke hearts!!!! one of my favorite snacks is roasted artichoke hearts with herb feta cheese. salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a light coating of olive oil, bake on a cookie sheet at 350 for 15-25 minutes (depending on how crisp you like them), sprinkle with crumbled herb feta, bake until it gets a bit melty & BOOM you have an awesome snack/side. Super easy to make and always an awesome appetizer if you're short on time and have to bring a side to a dinner with friends.

Bumping because I want to start eating healthier in the upcoming New Year.
I would also like to keep it simple, because I have zero interest in cooking anything complicated.
Can anyone recommend any healthy frozen meals?
Thanks in advance.![]()
The Weight Watchers Smart Ones and Lean Cuisine are decent! Not exactly tasty, but nutritious enough, and easy to track calories if that's a goal.
G-spot rocks the G-spot.

Have you tried the stouffers single serve lasagna or the stuffed cabbage? They are surprisingly good for a frozen meal i also like their french bread pizza baked in the oven. So good![]()
Also if you have a day and like spaghetti, i make a big batch with 2 jars of whatever sauce you like cook the meat or without if youd like and freeze the sauce after the meal you can always heat up some fresh noodles and the sauce easily heats up in pan or in microwave. I usually put the bag of sauce i froze in individual servings out of freezer and into fridge overnight and next day just heat up with some fresh noodles cooked. Just a suggestion.

Thank You. I love both.
I probably should have been more clear in my question. I mostly eat frozen foods, but they have high fat, and sugar contents.
I meant frozen foods that I can get from the health food grocery store.
I'm lost in there. The last time I bought what I thought were frozen meat patties, they turned out to be some kind of veggie burger.
They tasted disgusting. I should have looked closer at the ingredients. All I saw was a photo of a juicy grilled burger on the box.
P.S. I love the idea you gave about freezing the sauce.

The udi's gluten free ones are actually pretty delicious! and I usually steer clear from gluten free products.. pricey though. And EVOL brand.. yumm love their street tacos.
Also I just recently tried the Contessa Reserve brand (servings for 2) I found at Publix .. minimal ingredients.. they actually use real butter and olive oil.. not the norm these days) also not really any chemicals or preservatives.

I recommend the Saffron Road line of various frozen meals, both the vegetarian and meat options are pretty delicious, as well as relatively healthy. There are a ton of different options; I haven't found/tried all of them yet, but so far I'm a fan of the Tofu Bibimbop, Beef Bibimbop, and Manchurian Dumplings.
Also, in general, this subreddit might help some of you:
If you take one day out of your week to cook a big meal in advance, then you can freeze it and have meals for the rest of the week.
Two words: Trader Joe's!
They have SO many healthy options with food that's already prepped. No need to buy a bunch at a time. I go about twice a week. They have delicious options all over the store. I particularly like their cut fruit like mangoes and pineapple, their tabouli and balela salads, frozen Indian food like Palak Paneer and Garlic Naan bread, ALL OF THE CHEESE!, organic apple juice, and so much more! It's been a life-saver for me and helps save so much time in food prep. Their prices are pretty low and time is money so the saved time is worth paying extra for fruit that's already cut up and salads that are ready to eat. If you don't have a TJ's in your area, I'm SO SORRY! *hugs* Try checking out the deli section of your local grocery store for pre-made salads and dinners. Some places have roasted chicken for $6-8 and other prepared foods. I also like ordering Dominos pizza cuz it's cheap for delivery. It's perfect when you host another model and you can take a 'pizza break' and get back to the show. Asian foods also deliver and sometimes Mexican too. You can look up delivery on YELP to find out who delivers in your area. I believe some places have delivery apps that deliver for places that don't offer delivery for a small fee. There are SO many options. If you're in LA, they have a 2 hour delivery service from Amazon for groceries! Not sure where else they are trying this, probably NY and SF. You can check on Amazon to see if they offer that service in your area. As we become more digital, there will continue to be more and more options for getting foods to you without leaving the house! Yay for technology! Now, I'm freaking hungry. Time to start cooking Xmas dinner! Nom nom!![]()

Part of why I bumped this, is because I now live where there's no Trader Joes, no grocery stores that deliver. And no Amazon, or home delivery services.
There's a Dominoes, and awesome Chinese place that delivers, so I def. Agree with you there.
I spoke to my Aunt today, who now has to cook for herself since my uncle's passing. She also had to lose weight which she did. How?
She told me not to eat gluten free, because it causes weight gain.
She suggested getting a crockpot, and shared simple recipes...i.e. throw in meat, potatoes, and veggies.
Now that it's winter, Im going to do that.

A couple other ideas (sorry if already mentioned)-
kale- you can buy a bunch, I like to add it to soups and stews, also I enjoy it sautéed with onions, garlic, red pepper flakes and sometimes mushrooms, and as a snack you can make baked kale chips.
Another snack idea- roasted chickpeas. You can find recipes online; you bake them with spices and a little olive oil and they come out crunchy. They'd go well with kale chips.![]()

Just discovered this brand of frozen chicken pot pie called Blake's.
I was always a big fan of Marie Callender's frozen pot pies,.....until now.
Omg! It's so scrumptious! The veggies and chicken taste so fresh, and the crust is perfectly flakey.
I found it at a health conscious market. Whole foods and target sell it also.
