What do you mean tips on tits? I can't answer who is right or wrong cause I don't know what you mean by that so please explain. Taking longer than a second to go on stage because you were late for your shift? Yes you are in the wrong for that one I think. With most clubs you have to sign a sheet of rules or your contract will state you will get fined for certain things like being late for stage and/or late for work so if you don't want to get fined then get to work on time so you can make your stage sets on time. Yea sometimes things happen and you don't have a choice, good managers will understand and work with you if you are usually a punctual dancer but if its something you do all the time then you can't get upset at management.

ETA excuse me if I read it wrong but not sure if you meant you were late for stage cause you were late for work or you are late for stage and late for work, either way if it is something that is probably in the list of rules you are fined for so try to work on not doing both so you won't get fined.

Depends on why you were late so not sure. As for tips on tits if that is not allowed then yes you were wrong. At clubs I worked at they were usually required to put the tip in my garter and getting tips in my tits would have meant a fee or firing.

I would talk to your state labor board. Think it is illegal for a business to fine you money when you work someplace. Otherwise every biz would find a reason to keep the money people earn. The can terminate you, they can suspend you, send you home early.

But think it is against U.S. labor laws to fine you.

    I would look into it.

It may be illegal yes, but also if you did sign a contract and the rules were stated... you kind of are in the wrong. Ask for a copy of it and read it.

At my last club, you got fined $10 that went to the previous girl who stayed on stage when you missed it. So that's not uncommon. If by "tips on tits" you mean letting a customer put money on you, that's actually illegal here (specifically "no placing money in a performer's costume") and while the clubs don't care, if a cop came in he could write you a $250 civil ticket. So it's all up to your club owner/city laws.

you get fined 25 bucks at my club for missing stage, and 25 bucks for every half hour you are late. you can also be fined at the discretion of the manager if s/he thinks you did anything inappropriate, so i yeah i think that's pretty average unfortunately. and no, its probably not legal, but neither are house fees or a lot of other things clubs get away with doing to us on a regular basis.

They have similar fines at my club too. $10 for being late for or missing stage, $10 for taking shoes off during a LD, $10 for failing to be topless halfway through your stage. Serious shit like fighting, obvious intoxication, prostitution, drugs etc, will get you a triple digit fine and suspension, if not outright fired.

Management is pretty cool about the fines and really only give them out to dancers who are regularly late for stage, regularly refuse to take their top off on stage, etc.

As far as house fees and fines being legal, it's the same any other IC situation. There's nothing illegal about charging a fee to use their facilities or assessing fines for breaking the rules in a contract. I have a good friend who's a hair stylist and it's a similar setup. She pays monthly rent for her chair and should she be late for or miss an appointment or fail to properly sanitize her tools, she would be fined as well.

^ i think it depends on the state, in the state where i work it is "illegal" ( idk if illegal is the term for it, but it violates the IC status) for any strip club to do that, and any dancer who chooses to sue her club will win..my club alone has been sued i think 3 or 4 times, but they make so much off the fines that they figure its worth a settlement every few years *shrug*

Ah, that makes sense and it would depend on the state and county codes as to whether it would violate IC status. I can see the argument both ways but... its a lot easier for me just to not get fined in the first place.

At my club (and most in this area) it's a $50 fine for being late to your table. Of course it's annoying, but it's not uncommon unfortunately.

Yea.^ I know in the mall nearby, I used to go to a salon..once it during the daylight savings time change, & whoever was opening forgot. The store received a $300.00 fine.
    Sorry for the t/j.

What a great system! I would love to work at a club that did that!
