Default Unexpected flee to Los Angeles

I have extremely limited internet access & time right now, so I hate to be the person who doesn't go through old threads for the info I need but I'm out of options. I left a violent situation a couple nights ago with basically the clothes on my back & a small bag of stripper gear in my car. Ive got a pair of heels, 2 floor length gowns & a short cocktail dress. Are there any topless clubs in LA where this will work? Do I need any kind of license or background check to work in the city or surrounding area, & if so how much? I'm running out of cash & would love to work the weekend to keep paying for my motel & eat etc.

If anyone could spare me a little help right now I could really use it. Thanks so much!

I dont have any information on the clubs but I do want to wish you luck and commend you on your bravery in leaving a bad situation. I'm sure the clubs can tell you what the legal requirements would be to work.

I would just get on the phone and start calling places. Start with whatever club is closest to where you are. This isn't a time to be picky - as you know - so even if you end up in a crappy place for the first week, you'll be able to upgrade after gathering some funds.

The club reviews may help a bit, too: https://www.stripperweb.com/stripclu...x.php?city=835

If internet is an issue, find a Starbucks with Wifi, get an iced tea (something like $3), and set up camp for a few hours. Public libraries often have internet, too; they may also have computers that you can use.

Thank you so much ladies! I have come to Starbucks & can now access the old threads to do proper research. I found a couple clubs to call & find out what I need to do to work. The advice seems like such common sense now but I guess I've been in such a state of anxiety I didn't even think of that!

That's what trauma / anxiety does - it shuts down the part of your brain that you use for higher functioning. Fight / flight responses (the ones that go into overdrive when you're in that state) are located waaaaay down at the base of your brain.

This is just a suggestion, but what about taking a bus (there's greyhound or megabus) to San Francisco and staying in the cheap nightly motel above Condor or Roaring 20s, or the Green Tortise hostel? Those are super cheap, you won't have any cab fees, and you'll at least walk with SOMETHING, even if its less than $100 often. I've had friends dance in LA and its not uncommon to leave with nothing + gas/transportation to a hotel that is a.) pricer and b.) very far away from clubs.

If you stay in LA, maybe try places like Oxnard or Long Beach, which are further from the concentration that is LA. That would work out well if you have a car.

No license or anything special required in LA or SF.

Try Seventh Veil or Crazy Girls or Body Shop in Hollywood. Those clubs usually let you work right away & there's money there! Good Luck!
