    He probably can't do much as long as he left for boot. Pretty much once the recruit leaves for boot camp the relationship is over. I know it varies but this is what I saw. Also, because you aren't married to him they probably can't do much. What might work is contacting the Department of the Navy (Marine Corps is under the Navy)and explain the situation. If he didn't leave for boot that may be another situation entirely.

    He is your ex and you are not married to him. The DoD has no obligation to tell you anything concerning your ex.

    The new recruiters don't need to know shit: they are not your ex's chain of command. If his reserve unit already dealt with him, then that's done.

    The people you need to know about are his reserve unit. If you tell me (over PM) where is his reserve unit, I can help you get the info for that reserve unit and find someone who knows him.
