I have a The Armat M41A Pulse Rifle with 10×24mm Caseless ammunition. I use it for home defense and squirrel hunting.

I have a 9 mm but it's locked up. Kids are around.

Otherwise it's in the trunk of my car. Hope I never have to use it

I wish I had a gun but I don't know, I might actually prefer to slow torture a person who tried to harm me.

If I did own a gun I'd want one with a silencer cause loud popping noises freak me out (I hate balloons and firecrackers popping).

That's the gun from the movie Aliens silly. I don't have a gun. I'm terrified of guns. Plus, with my mental health history, I couldn't get a gun.

A silencer reduces the "loud popping noise" to the point it will not damage your hearing. It does not really make a firearm silent.

That is a straight blowback action. A modern locked breach would be easier to operate.

That means the barrel is fixed on the frame. That's the old style. It was made to be more accurate by design but your hands absorb a lot of recoil which hurts.

It also means the barrel is not locked to the slide when the gun fires. The force of the mainspring holds the slide closed. A locked breach locks the barrel to the slide on firing momentarily until the chamber pressure lowers, Then it unlocks and allows the slide to move back. It means you do not need as strong a spring, and the side is easier to operate. Most .380's used to be blowback and had a robust spring which discouraged some from using them.

Its weird to hear that so many people in the US have guns at home. In brasil i dont know anyone that has one. Its not cultural to have guns at home.
Ad the rate of murders and robberies are ultra high here, at least where i live, its gigantic.

When everybody has guns at home, robbery becomes act of stupidity. Similar to brazil, some states in USA, you can see the data also show: the stricter the gun law, the higher the murder rate.
