Both of my c920s all work with windows 8.1. Sometimes it's best not to listen to "support". I purchased a wireless mouse a few months before I got my new laptop and I was told by support that their drivers weren't windows 8 compatible so I let it collect dust for a while. Well I decided to try it out on my own and it works just fine O.o. Most of the models camming have windows 8 and most of them use the c920 just fine.

What about the C930? I've heard its compatible across all versions of the programme.

I have 8.1 and my logitech c920 and c9000 both work fine with it. I really don't recommend switching to 8.1. Some computers when you switch to 8.1 locks your hardrive so you can't switch back to 8. Well. you can switch back but it is a huge pain in the ass to get it unlocked...

Just saw this after I posted something similar! Sorry, must be lack of sleep. I have BOTH the 920 and 930 right now. The 930 is a total disaster on 8.1 and is getting returned! After several hours of tech work, I got the 920 to work with the LWS after I updated the drivers and downloaded the Logitech APP. Anyway, hope this saves some time!

I will do that next time, never thought of it
this possibly explains the sudden glitches.
also it happens while recording clips so its not sm

HP is replacing it. This is the second issue, both happened within the same time. The battery does not charge.
I like HP computers and the service is good? I have never had to send one back.
HP lives through the hell I put on it
I have dropped 2, one on hardwood, one on ceramic tile and both held strong

Luckily I just had the other "serviced" so I am not having to go with out.

On a side note...I'm holding onto my Windows 7 until we get Windows 10 (they're skipping 9), it seems alternate OS are best - http://www.cnet.com/news/microsoft-j...tag=CAD5920658

I had an XP crash last year and my guy was busy so sent me to another place - they didnt call me and installed Vista -I was sooo pissed off _ I hate Vista - my less than a year old Lenovo has lost the gammet that holds the screws in - it is coming apart by the charge plug so I cant move it - or move the screen - sending it in this week for repair and then buying the extended warranty - never dropped or anything abusive

Which app did you use and where did you get it? Because now I updated to 8.1 and didn't know about the drivers having a chance to fuck up and it is fucking up with my logitech c920 now I can barely move my camera around without it messing up cause of the driver crap. Lol now I got to find a computer engineer that can help me get back to just windows 8.

I've been using Windows 8 with no problems but was also told not to upgrade to 8.1 because of issues like this so I have held off. Will also probably wait for Windows 10 before I upgrade but I will wait til they figure out some of the bugs first because I can forsee some problems with how they are planning to change up the whole OS AGAIN. I miss Windows 7.

Alot of things you buy will work one day in windows then sometimes not work the next, sometimes computer seem to have a compatibility brain of their own. So all you can do is try and see if your computer will agree to use something.

The Logitech website says that the c920 is not compatible with Windows 8.1 and there is no download listed, so I'm wondering where someone would get the app and driver?

I was messing with my computer for a few hours. The logitech website has instructions for manually updating drivers. The logitech app was in the app store. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it. Hope this helps. I did have my computer shut down while in a show. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!

Windows 8.1 fag here. My C920 works wonders. So far, so good.

Also, the C930 is more expensive than the C920 while not offering many advantages over the former, so I'd rather get the C920 if I were you.

If you can find a c910 grab it...it has much better audio than the c920 and the software is better and works on all Windows with no issues at all. Only tradeoff is that it uses a bit more system resources and it doesn't have the tripod clip.
