Default Question for my porcelain ladies.

    I'm tired of self-tanner.

    So. Fucking. Tired.

So I need some tips on how to make my veeerrrrrryyyy pale skin (cool toned fair, basically porcelain) glow! I have a very easy time with the skin around my face and neck, but my legs especially are always very pasty.

I am anti-glitter for the record.

I'm thinking maybe an illuminating lotion or a light gradual tanning lotion three times a week for a tiny color boost. Advice?

Have you looked into the Jergens BB Body lotion? I'm pretty light as well, & I like it. It's pretty much a lotion/foundation mix (not much, if any color) w/'diffusers' in it. I got it in a trial size @ CVS.
Also, Urban Decay makes one, not sure how it is.

I really like the Jergens gradual tanner. Sometimes I only use it on my legs, which are straight up gray at times. If I want to look a little slimmer I'll use it everywhere. But it's nice to be able to control the level of your tan and not have to worry about splotchiness when it wears off.

Ulta has some instant bronzers that won't come off at work but will wash off in the shower. I usually put them on when my spray tan starts looking wonky to get me through the weekend until I can scrub and respray. I have one by lorac and one in a purple bottle( can't remember the name) There's one by fake bake that might be perfect for you( it was to light for me) but your a bit paler so it may be perfect. I've never used these on my body by themselves( without spray tan on) but since I have a cast on my arm I may have to. I'll report back how good they work used alone.

I use clarins delicious body tanning cream right now. It doesn't come out *too* orange on me, but the maintainance is crazy. I've also noticed that my shoes will rub it off at work, so I have ankle strap lines constantly. It also breaks me out pretty badly. It was the only thing I found that didn't turn me bright orange or make me look like I rolled around in dirt. Pale girl problems.

I was thinking maybe I should just embrace the pale again, at least to give myself a break. I do realize that I need a little something to help my skin not be so dull and pasty, though.

Embrace your paleness! Maybe you should consider a look that matches your complexion, is pinup, goth, ect... Just a thought... I use CVS bb cream (in lt med) for the face on my body if I want a healthy glow. I'm also pretty fair, but I look healthy with the CVS bb cream vs, pale. Hope this helps

I keep my skin pale. I've noticed it looks its best when I moisturize it. I use a big tub of CeraVe for my face and body because my skin is so sensitive. My legs can take a regular lotions--I like Jergen's cherry almond scent. My legs definitely look best when I regularly shave them (exfoliation) and moisturize.

I considered doing a tanning lotion or a spray tan, but cancer is very common in my family, and studies are still pretty divided over whether either of these tanning methods are safe. It seems like an absolute pain in the ass too, and my skin breaks out from the slightest change in my routine, so I just embrace my skin tone. People either rave about it or say I should be in Twilight. Whatevs. Healthy, clear skin is worth it, to me.

^ healthy skin is another reason I'm looking into just embracing the pale. I've been on the self-tanning kick for awhile, and I've noticed that my skin is breaking out more and is quite dull and flake-y.

I like Jergen's gradual tanning lotion, it looks the most natural and feels the best to me. I also use Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs all over my body when I want to look really tan, but that's seldom because it's so grimy feeling.

I'm very pale and I keep it that way mainly because, I don't like the way I look with a tan. So I can't help with that but I have a little tip that I love to share! Ever since I started moisturizing with coconut oil, my skin has been soo bright! It's clearing my face up too, which was never bad but I would get little colorless bumps on my forehead and hormonal chin acne around periods. So frustrating. You have to google it though, and see if it's for you, because in some people it makes them worse.

It does make people get little bumps at first, while it's detoxing your skin. But after a month it will improve *tremendously* It's also an amazing makeup remover, and has made my eyelashes longer as well. I thought it was a load of crap until I tried it. I'm glad I did for the money saving (no more makeup remover etc.), the fact that I put something on my face w/o mystery chemicals, and the brightness that has returned to my skin.

^Coconut oil is pretty comedogenic. While some people will have no issue with it on their skin, it will clog most people's pores. I do not personally believe that there is any particular attribute of coconut oil that makes it a better moisturizer than other thick moisturizers/oils, so it might be a better idea for most people to choose a different sort of oil. This site provides comedogenic ratings for a number of substances: https://www.beneficialbotanicals.com...ic-rating.html. Personally, I use unscented mineral oil. It has a zero on the comedogenic scale, but some people get the scented variety and have reactions. Scents make my eyes burn anyway, so I get the safest variety possible.

Jojoba might also be a good option - it most closely mimics our natural skin oils.

I'm super pale myself and the one thing that I've noticed that works well for me to keep my skin from looking dull and lifeless is moisturizing daily (I use St. Ives), exfoliation (again St Ives), and I've been using this dead sea salt scrub with oil and it's been keeping my skin from looking dry. Since I don't use lotion it's been a lifesaver. I use this all over my body as well, not just the facial area.
I also invest in lots of quality highlighters for my makeup since I tend to avoid bronzer, good foundation to avoid breakouts, and on occasion tattoo makeup if I have to cover a bruise or something. I keep my pale skin by being completely nocturnal for the most part and staying indoors all the time though. lol

I have no problems from the neck up, I'm pretty proud of my skin care routine. I'm mostly worried about my pasty legs and ass. Lol. Have you guys tried any of the illuminating lotions or anything of the sort?

I like the hemp brand gradual tanner much more then the jergans. The smell isn't as gross. You can get it at Sally's.

It's hard to find stripper clothes that look good on pale skin while also showing up in club lighting. I've heard that jewel-toned colors work well for pale skin tones...

Wow, I did not know coconut oil clogged pores! Maybe my little bumps are not just toxins being removed after all :/ Will have to search for jojoba....

I had someone remind me !again! last night that I am pale. She said something about how it made me look a certain way on stage but her criticism was not concise and she didn't provide an adjective. I'm sure all us porcelain ladies look just fine but now I'm thinking maybe its costing me customers/money?

Do you think it would look weird to have a tan (a few shades 'browner') body yet keep my face the same? (Tan on my face just looks weird)

Use bronzer on your face if you plan to do that. That's what I had to do because self-tanner breaks me out too badly to put it on my face.

    I use nars laguna.
