Default Whats the latest info on SCORES NYC?

Hi! Thinking about auditioning at SCORES NYC. Does anyone have the latest info on this club? Tip out/House fees, how busy it is..etc?
Wondering how the club is doing especially after all the recent scandals that have been in the news.

Any and all info is helpful.
    Thanks!

It's not busy at all but if you're one of the hosts' girls you will get hooked up when a big client comes in. You will go days without making money but one day is all you need to make up for the other days. Take about $200 with you for fees but it may be less. I think if you go in before 6, it's only $60.

This is my club it's AWESOME when you get that good customer, like the difference between making only $100 or making $3,000-$5,000 in a night. Sunday-thursday is all about champagne rooms, the floor is dead...like you will not make any money on the floor because only a handful of customers show up(but usually 9 out of 10 will get a room). Fri/sat you can make good floor money no need to even get a room...you can make $1,000 on the floor easy because they book so many bachelor parties.

The managers and house moms are super cool but don't get sloppy at work, they like professional classy girls so always stay in control and be polished.
It's a gown club so bring a long gown to audition, but some nights you can wear short dress and mondays are lingerie night.
Two weeks free house free after you audition and if you show up by 6:30 house is only $40, but can be as much as $180 if you show up late.

I love scores, they have an elite clientele of some of the richest people...ballplayers, models, mucisians, but mostly suits/wall street guys.

I wouldn't be surprised if a marketing team is spamming false shit all over the place.

I'll add that even up to a year and a half ago I wouldn't question whether Nadia was marketing. I worked there then and while money was more consistent night to night, those figures were accurate for a lot of the dancers. But the place seriously went to hell even before the drug scandal. I'm sure there are a few dancers and hosts still hanging on to high spending regulars, but I'm not buying what she wrote about here or in the deleted thread. For anyone who missed it, she said top girls were consistently pulling in $15k-$30k a night. Lol.

LOL These numbers sound beyond extreme for a clean dancer to make these days in NYC. I wish when dancers threw numbers on this forum, they'd also throw out the details of what they have to do to make those numbers. Like how much they are actually taking home after they take care of the hosts, funny money fees, and whether drugs, sex, or even "touching" was even involved...

Right, a lot of dancers brag based on on how much customers spend on them, not what they keep.

It's even disingenuous IMO for Scores to say "you get $600/hr in rooms before tips," which they do in your orientation. First they take out $20 in an additional mysterious room fee, then you're expected to tip the host at least $100, then they take 13% from the funny money, and then there are taxes. When all is said and done you're making around $300/hour when the customer paid $1360 plus a tip to the host. Not to mention the other clubs in this area where your hour cut is $200 less to begin with.

It's sad because I worked with a ton of extras dancers at Scores who were generally sweet girls. They didn't seem to do the math. They'd justify giving head by saying, "Well I'm getting paid $600 for it." No you're not hun :/

Yeah, maybe 1500-3000. I can do that easy at places I travel. But not 15,000 to 30,000. And even then I still have a few nights way less. I can tell you with complete conviction NO ONE is averaging 15,000 to 30,000 anywhere since I'm at top clubs during peak money making. And girls that are making 1000 plus consitent have YEARS of experience and megga sales- hustling skills.

Well michele and kiki.. maybe if we all were better at club politics we'd clear even $15k on average. LOL.

the few times ive seen girls make more than 15k, the guy spent more than 100k. the idea that this happens to multiple girls once a year, much less every ahift they work, is fucking stupid. id doubt that in all of the clubs across the country, there are still nights when no girls clear 10k. its so, so uncommon.

also i have had a couple friends make over 10k and because it was so much they had to wait like more than a month for a check. so they had to keep working nonstop to cover bills because thwy didnt know if they would ever get it. how stressful!

I should have been more clear: some of the girls at Scores made over $10k/night much more frequently than dumb luck would predict. They were the ones drugging those guys. But it's still consistent with your observation, charlotte -- those guys dropped around $100k/ during each visit to my recollection. Not that they'd remember it.

I'd love to hear longtime NYC vets' observations about income potential when this city was truly goldmine (I came well after '0. Feel free to PM if you don't feel comfortable sharing here.

For all intents and purposes, dancing in Manhattan in the 90's was an entirely different business.

    - prior to the ~2001 lawsuits, business guys were able to spend corporate cash in strip clubs, with the IRS effectively picking up 30% of their tab ( in the form of tax write-offs ) !

    - in the 90's, tech company IPO's and buyouts were generating unbelievable amounts of income for both the tech company principals as well as the Manhattan bankers and brokers who were arranging those IPO's and buyouts. For the 'history buffs', yes I have seen a group of tech guys and their bankers, lawyers and brokers very willingly drop over $1 million in a single strip club on a single night.

    - in the 90's there was a much clearer division between a relative handful of 'upscale' Manhattan clubs and a much larger number of 'regular' clubs in Manhattan and surrounding boroughs. If you could manage to get hired at one of those 'upscale' Manhattan clubs, you were more or less assured that every club customer could afford to spend thousands.

    - while I won't claim that Manhattan clubs were ever 'squeaky clean', in the 90's customer expectations of 'extras' were notably lower. It wasn't until the aftermath of 9/11/2001 - where tens of thousands of 'professional' jobs began to ( permanently ) leave Manhattan, and after the 2001 female stockbroker 'sex discrimination' lawsuits - where tens of thousands of additional 'professional' club customers were forced to stop entertaining clients in Manhattan strip club on the 'company dime', that big spending customers started to become scarce. The reduced number of strip club customers, and the reduced spending capacity of many customers, provided remaining customers with the 'leverage' needed to start demanding 'extras'.

The 90s were incredible everywhere for the business. And definitely in NYC. You could work in any club in the city and bank virtually every night (of course, if you knew what you were doing). We were visiting from DC and worked in clubs like Scores, Flash, Tens, Paradise, etc. Just one day here and there was good enough to do well. The NYC clubs allowed us to visit like that, but we were banking in DC as well. Some girls in both cities were real models that you would recognize from magazines or other media means. Hair, nails, boobs, tan, gowns - everything had to look perfect. (Anyone remember Clinique bronzing gel and white stick for tan lines haha?). Champagne was flowing, and some clubs gave a cut form the bottle to the girl. Yes, there were always extras, but they were done rarely and quietly and for huge amounts of cash including cars and even condos/houses - more like true sugar daddy style arrangements. There were no intense competition, cut throating, and cheap extras - everyone made money. It really is impossible to compare the ways clubs are today to the conditions in the 90s, it is a different world with a different work style. I agree with Melonie, it used to be a "show" type of business with looks being the most important factor. At the same time, even though the 90s sound awesome, there were specifics such as difficulties getting hired due to certain looks, or having plastic surgery (boobs etc) being expected in some clubs, especially higher end ones. Of course, that is my personal experience, and it could be different for others.

Agreed. This was an underlying part of my comment about the 90's having a very clear distinction between high end clubs and 'average' clubs. I'll try to word this carefully so it doesn't come across in the wrong way, but ... as Rusdancer pointed out ... actually getting hired by a high end club during the 90's meant that the girl had to have an 'extraordinary' appearance. That indeed changed post 9/11/2001, as 'extraordinarily' beautiful but squeaky-clean dancers found it increasingly difficult to earn major money, as big spender customers became more scarce with tighter budget customers beginning to expect high contact, as clubowners discovered that for the club to continue to earn major money they needed to turn a 'blind eye' to more obvious 'extras' ( also meaning that they had to start to hire more girls with 'less than extraordinary' appearance, but who were willing to provide high contact ), etc.

But in terms of historical accuracy, the nefarious 'Scores Scale' did exist - and with a very real purpose. If the girl didn't rate a '10' she would not get hired to work night shift at Scores during the 90's.

    ^^^ Absolutely!
Yes, it was very difficult to get hired, and even more difficult to get on the schedule. Same in DC. I don't want to digress too much from the Scores focus, but my old club in DC was a Scores equivalent, and was just as strict. Since we are talking about the 90s a bit here, I'll mention another fun memory. DC clubs are nude and no contact, which back then required certain "grooming"; you could be sent home if you shaved too much off. I remember girls drawing the hair "down there" with an eyeliner pencil. No bald or landing strips back then! Yeah, I know, it's hard to believe! Also, garter belts could not be worn higher than 3 inches from the knee - you could get in trouble. I remember girls complaining about others who wore garters really high on the leg - it was an extras of sorts cause guys tipped in the garter and there was a higher risk of them grabbing with a garter being right at the ass. Also, must wear underwear off stage under gowns, that could be checked by a manager. There were many other rules, such as very strict scheduling, or having to work when you really needed a day off; plus maintaining weight, no bruises, no cheap costumes, etc. We were paid employees however on top of tips. But we loved NYC clubs, and often even saw the same wealthy customers who went between both cities for business, but they always spent more in NYC clubs due to table dances and champagne rooms - something DC never had.
I know times are different, but I'll always remember Scores and other NYC clubs (DC too) as amazing back in those days!
