put on flattering clothes that bring out your best features..i miss my totally flat stomach but i love my big fluffy ass, so i put on a wide garter belt or half corset and wear things that flatter my butt like scrunch bottoms. i've also started working at an urban club where my fuller figure is more appreciated and i bank.

Switch to a lower end club. When I first started, I was somewhat plump (kinda like now), so I opted for lower end clubs. I did great, and even after I lost the love handles I still kept dancing there because the money was good.

I used to dance at 105-110 (my weight always fluctuates). I took almost a year off and came back weighing 125. I was so nervous but I actually did better than when I was really skinny. I have been dancing for almost a year again and have gone up to 135. Being skinny the most I ever made was $400. Idk if my weight has anything to do with it but I have had $1,000 nights now at the same club. My tummy is a bit bigger but like Simone said my ass is also so much nicer now and I get my most $ from booty tricks on stage and when I do dances guys always say they love my ass. So I'm not trying to get skinny any time soon. Get a spray tan if that would make you feel better, that always makes me look thinner. Don't be too nervous, guys love all women.

Second on sticking to mid tier until you feel better about yourself. I danced when I was heavy and made money but I was miserable. I was doing 90 mins of cardio at the gym 6 days a week. I lost that weight real quick.
One harsh lesson I've learned is you're always going too be to fat for someone no matter what you weigh. May as well do your best and be happy.

I was a "fat" stripper for awhile (at a nude club) and I still made more money than thinner girls. It's all about the hustle. I think the only thing that helped my confidence was faking it until I made it. We all hear that guys are okay with heavier girls, but I didn't believe it until I was actually out on the floor and seeing how guys reacted. So, while this might be counter-intuitive, I would just go for it and fake confidence until you have the positive feedback you need. If you need advice on how to fake confidence, I would check out this Ted talk:
Also, I'm sure that as you start eating healthy and exercising, you will start to feel better about yourself naturally. It's amazing how taking care of yourself really positively impacts all areas of your life. Also, seriously, you can do this...most of it is in your head and you have to keep that in mind. Going through this now is just going to make you all that much better when you do get back in shape.![]()

I've been dealing with this issue as of recently. Naturally I have an athletic build, but I went from being 113-115 lean and toned to 125 with barely any muscle (it may not sound like much but at 5'2 and being super fair the weight shows EVERYWHERE). It's not a good feeling.
I second what Simone said about wearing outfits that let your best physical features shine. It will help you feel better about yourself when guys and girls start complimenting and noticing your best assets. Also take care to different cuts of outfits, colors, material, etc. For example - a lot of girls at my home club can pull off neon colors and booty shorts. I cannot in the slightest, so to help feel better about myself I avoid those things at all costs.
Also if you know certain positions/angles don't flatter you onstage, don't do them. Especially since all eyes are on you onstage, do whatever makes you feel sexy.
Keep doing your best to eat right (I gained all my weight this past 2 months from allowing myself to eat a ton of sugary foods and snack late...something I stopped doing years ago..but I let my depression get the best of me and I ate my feelings), drink a ton of water, work out a few days a week, and if you drink at work try not to drink anything that's high in sugar or calories.
Good luck with this process, and let us know how you are progressing hun.

I think it has to do with your height and weight distribution too. A taller individual who gains weight in flattering areas is better off than say a 5' half Mexican who gains in her stomach and looks like a nasty little potato. (Yes I do look that bad heavy)

If you can afford it, look for a yoga studio nearby that offers hot yoga classes (look for power flow classes, or even Bikram if you're feeling masochistic). Most studios have unlimited class monthly passes for ~$100. Give yourself a month to take as many classes as you can. Yoga is good for the body and mind! Along with the physical benefits, exercising in a pretty yoga studio can make you feel inspired to eat more healthily and feel more centered.

One of my closest friends is about 5'4 and weighs close to 170. Lucky girl got it almost all in her ass and thighs.
