Default Bringing in hair extensions to a salon?

I booked an appointment for a cut a long time ago and meant to cancel it because I need to grow out my hair, but now it's too late. I have to pay $110 whether or not I show up due to their cancellation policy. I'm wondering if it would be weird just to bring in my extensions and have the stylist only cut them. Has anyone done this without checking if it's okay first? I don't want to call the salon and risk hearing them say no when my stylist might decide to accommodate me if I ask nicely in person.

Ye-es, you could try that... if they say no you could have a hair treatment and head massage, if don't want them messing with your cut/colour.

Do you have a choice of stylist? The only reason I would call would be to maybe switch to someone else if your stylist isn't comfortable with it. But honestly I don't think they'll care much, coloring hair extensions is another thing, but I've never had an issue with someone cutting mine (just prepare for them to be a little cauctious since they can't grow back).

Can you try to get out of the cancellation though? I don't see a prob. w/you bringing in the extensions, but that's just me.

You can certainly have them cut your extensions, Also a light dusting or trim can actually help you to grow your hair out and keep it healthy without losing length,

She was okay but probably not thrilled about cutting the extensions, although I'm so glad she did. They're much easier to style now.

Trims do have their place in hair growth, but my ends are way better than I thought they'd be six weeks ago so why not put it off until they're looking a little worse? I used to get my hair unnecessarily dusted once every six to eight weeks and it barely grew so I won't make that mistake again. I can't wait for the day I can ditch the extensions entirely.
