I have, the 2nd Pair, cone heels. They are more stable and dont interfere with dancing but I wouldn't say they are more comfortable on the foot, which is what I'm assuming you're looking for.

I have a pair that look exactly like the first ones, but suede 8"ers. I don't know whether it's psychosomatic, but I do feel like they give me more arch support. I'm not sure how you injured your foot, but my feet have super high arches and I get less pain in my arches with wedges or certain boots it seems like.

I think you should get some ankle boots (for foot and ankle support) and use insoles for arch and ball support.

^I actually just ordered a pair of 5 1/2 inch cone heels from there (in the hope that they would offer more support. I plan to get thicker heels, but they will take a while to get here from ebay or discount stripper etc).

^Thanks, I use those already and boots did cross my mind (but our club has a dress code, long skirt sets/gowns most days, so ankle boots are not "allowed"-I could probably get away with it though, idk).

Thanks to everyone for your replies, I appreciate it.

I think boots help with foot injuries. Lace up. I would always wear boots on days I wanted to be rougher or had cramped myself from the sandal-type platform a different day. They hold you snugly ya know.

Have you ever worn a pair of Bordellos? I prefer them to the generic Pleaser brand. I injured my ankle playing soccer and had trouble wearing heels with straps. I switched to Bordellos and they are much more comfortable. They seem to offer a lot more overall support, even though there isn't much difference in the height of the heel itself.
