Default back after a long hiatus--NJ dancers, pls help

you know how sometimes you get swept up in a relationship and you quit dancing to make everything honkey-dorey? and then you don't have a fucking dime and your S.O. wonders why you're more than a little depressed/bitchy? then it dawns on them: "oh yeah, she was awesome and really happy when she was dancing, and i didn't have oy pay for literally all of the bills bills (thereby making her feel like a helpless piece of shit), so maybe she should go back to dancing."

yeah that's my life right now.

one of the things i always tell women, regardless of if they're dancers or not, is to never sacrifice your happiness for a love interest. wouldn't it be great if we could all follow the advice we gave? (srsly though--don't do it.)

anyway, here i am. i need help. i hate being that chick that says "where's a good place to work??" because i know that's very subjective. but i'm out of my element here. i'm specifically looking for a gogo bar where i can make 250-3 a night without grabby drunk ass smacking douchebags, and with as few lap dances as possible.

i'm used to the nude scene in NJ (and believe me, i would love to go to GGR, but i think that would be crossing the line for S.O. with all the touchy feel shit that goes on there). but i am at a loss to the gogo scene. i know titillations is supposed to be awesome, but i think i'm too fat and i went there once and wasn't really too impressed with the manager on duty who was supposed to audition me (very standoffish--if there's a better night to go, please lmk).

it's not like i'm asking for advice for free. i've def given my fair share of info/advice here. so if you believe in good karma, please help a girl out. for those of you who are more private, my inbox is always open.

    much love <3

Shakers in Carlstadt is supposed to be decent. No extras at all. I'm looking at nj GoGo clubs too, I still haven't worked up the nerve to try Titillations.

thank you @sugartaste. i was thinking of going to carlstadt for stiletto as well--do you have any info on this place? because now that i think about it, i don't mind doing nude/dances so long as it's not as depressing as it has been this year for me.

i didn't really get what was so great about titillations. i stopped in to audition on a wed evening, there were about ten girls on stage and maybe 7 patrons in the bar. the manager who was sent over to talk to me and my friend didn't really seem interested in answering any of our questions or telling us how it worked there, so i figured he wasn't interested and we left.

Just piping up to wish you luck in your search for the perfect club! And also to say that I admire your disclosure in the OP - it takes some serious ladyballs to admit when things are going south.

thank you! i haven't danced since… july? i think? but i can give information on a few clubs i've been to in that time frame if anyone is interested. they were all nude clubs, just FYI.

delilah's--somewhat reliable, especially TR, but have lately added up to 17 girls on the weekends--and business wasn't that great this summer (and will be dying out further now that summer is gone). have not been to manville in years, but a reliable source i've worked with for years there said that she's lucky she has her regulars, otherwise competition has gotten pretty cutthroat.

the den--haven't worked there since late 2013. i walked out mid shift because a customer walloped me on the ass right in front of the bouncer--and neither the bouncer or manager did anything about it. besides, you didn't really make any money until 1am and it all but dried up by 3am.

babes NOLA--was AWESOME until the spring. i think customers got tired of there only being 2-3 girls even on weekends and the interest dried up--esp since we didn't have as "high mileage" as the playhouse next door. also the place is set up so that a lot of guys end up sitting at the bar and just watching the sports of TV rather than tipping/engaging dancers on stage. but the summer, the money was just about gone.

so that's where i am as far as up to date info. i'm willing to give these clubs another shot but would rather venture into new waters. if anyone can give me current info about stiletto (carlstadt), even club XXXV (which i was really unimpressed with)--fuck it, ANYWHERE--i would be more than grateful and would return the favor in detail about the clubs i know of.

Count I'd totally give info but I haven't worked up in the north part of the east coast yet :/ I have info for Ca, NV, AL, TX and FL if interested. I hear ya on the feeling like a helpless piece of shit though coz when I was with my ex & he said oh ya I'll take care of you, please stop dancing yada yada & I did, it was seriously the biggest mistake I ever made. I hated not having my own money, it was THE most depressing year & a half of my life. Glad to see you're back in the game girl! Welcome back <3

I'm about an hour and change from AC. I tried Stiletto on the boardwalk this past summer and was just way too intimidated by the number of girls/all out lesbian shows some were doing on stage and no places to "hide" while i scoped the crowd. The clientele were screaming at all times and very, very drunk (I guess that's AC for you).

Haven't tried any of the other clubs though, so if there's one a little more chill with a good money to make I'd try it out. Thank you!

Have you tried Fantasies in keyport at all?? I worked there over the summer a few years ago and made decent money, most of it was from tips as i was a total newbie dancer at the time and didn't really know how to get lap dances haha. i know fall/winter is supposed to be their better time as well.
also delilahs in ac is decent, you can definitely make 300+ on a weekday and more on a weekend. its bikini bar as well.
i haven't worked at either, but i hear bourbon street and centerfolds are supposed to be good (centerfolds is full nude though and i think a lot of extras going on)

I don't know how much this is 'trickling down' to AC area clubs yet, but for a fact a number of AC casinos have recently closed due to 'lack of customers'.

Clubs in the Carlstadt area draw a lot of customers thanks to the proximity of The Meadowlands / MetLife Stadium. I always did very well at clubs in this area during football season.

thank you all soooo much. i think i'm going to do a bit of bouncing around. i sent my pics to stiletto and got hired, just have to go in an do an audition (i'm waiting til december as i have surgery coming up this friday in my girly areas lol--can't be naked with that). and i have a long, good working relationship with delilah's, too. so maybe i'll try to work at stiletto during football season, and try delilah's in the summer?

and yes i've also been to fantasie's--i liked it, it was nice and close to me. i only made 250 about a week ago, but it was a dead sunday, or so i was told. good to know there's potential there; i got a little worried because a friend of mine said she went on thurs and made like 5 bucks. again, i have to put it on hiatus due to surgery. have not tried bourbon street though, but i've seen it and it looks nice...

centerfolds was a bit intimidating to me because i saw the customers being very grabby with the girls on stage. i don't give cheap feels to these assholes--gross.

Stiletto, and other clubs within a few miles of the Meadowlands, are usually very good during Football season. For the summer, the 'Shore' clubs ( like Delilahs in Toms River ) are typically the busiest. There are some other good 'Shore' clubs, but I can't tell you much since a couple of my personal favorites have since been sold / reopened under new management.

Melonie, I actually worked in TR this summer and honestly I wasn't that impressed. It probably had to do with the fact that management scheduled upwards of 20 girls for a club that really doesn't need that many. I will try Delilah's AC though, but not until spring. It's way too cold down here by the water, IDK how these locals manage these frigid winter breezes!

Good luck at stiletto! My bf is a DJ there so I can't work there, but he says the girls make money and sell a lot of rooms. (He only works on the weekend though). He did tell me they now take $3 out of every dance like GGR, but I think girls get around this by charging $23 a dance minimum.
Re:titillations...I've only been there once as a customer and that was prob 7-8 years ago. Supposedly money wise it is the gogo equivalent of GGR. But of course you have to take anything other dancers say with a grain of salt. I've had customers tell me I should work there..I don't know. I might give Shakers a shot since it is football season.

It seems that this is now a widespread phenomenon. Club customers have less available 'discretionary' spending money available, so average customer spending at strip clubs is down. To make up for this, clubowners now view dancers as a 'revenue source' ... via house fees collected. So the more dancers, the more house fees collected, thus more income for the club - despite reduced customer spending.

In theory, greedy but 'dumb' clubowners can 'push' the number of dancers per shift to the point where their 'diluted' earnings ( net of house fees paid ) become low enough that the club has trouble attracting / retaining quality dancers thus customers. Greedy but 'smart' clubowners, on the other hand, can add a few more dancers per shift ... which provides the customers with more 'variety', which 'dilutes' earnings per dancer by some amount ( but not enough to provoke a 'mass exodus' of quality dancers ), and which increases club income thanks to more house fees being collected. I'm not sure whether Delilah's management is 'dumb' or 'smart', but there's no doubt they are greedy !!!

Hahahaha… I will say management is actually much nicer than they used to be a few years ago (some of the upper echelon were "let go" due to multiple scandalous events). The new "main manager" of the Jersey clubs has always treated me well, but I think he may be a little too lenient. There's a major problem with "favorites" just coming and going as they please without a schedule--admittedly I was one of them but I always scheduled myself a week in advance and for a whole shift. Delilah's will now go and fill a whole weekend roster with girls--and then some "favorites" will show up around 11pm and the number of dancers will increase from a reasonable 12-15 to 18-20! The income became so thinned out I didn't really see a point to staying and working, so like you said, I made my exit.

I would like to see it too, but I went during the "good season" at one of the better clubs there and it was PACKED with girls, thinning out the money. It might actually be worthwhile to check it out during the slow season due the lack of competition.

I checked out the casinos after my shifts and they were total ghost towns. I really want to try when it's warm too because if I had the luck I did during the bad season I can't wait to see how the good season is.

Again, the Atlantic City of last summer will not be the same NEXT summer ... from

(snip)This winter, Shore merchants say, will be the first test as business in general declines substantially, and now on top of that, the impact of four shuttered Atlantic City casinos and the loss of about 8,000 jobs so far.

The most recent was Trump Plaza, which closed Tuesday and with it a 906-room hotel. The Atlantic Club closed Jan. 13, and Showboat and Revel shut down over Labor Day weekend. Trump Taj Mahal filed for bankruptcy this month and may close in mid-November with its finances teetering.(snip)

(snip)"We live day to day, because if a casino closes, the people staying in that casino (hotel) don't even have the opportunity to come to Cape May," she said while working in the Cape May store. "We have less of a chance of getting customers. Atlantic City just happens to be a huge draw."

As the tourism capital of New Jersey, Atlantic City is enduring a shrinking gambling market that is expected to have ripple effects on the state's annual $40 billion tourism industry, which employs one out of 10 state residents.

Gaming and hospitality experts say the city is unlikely to recoup the $2.3 billion it has lost in gambling revenue since 2006, or to open any more casinos.(snip)

Translation ... the AC casino closings means that ~1-2000 'tourists' per DAY will no longer be spending money in the AC area in the future. On top of that, 8000 AC former casino workers ( so far ) are now pinching pennies to survive on state unemployment checks.

Hmmm. Maybe after winter I will finally venture out to Denver instead of staying here in the summer. Always wanted to try dancing out there, and dancing in the west had been refreshing for me.
