    Default Mandelic Acid: skin care

Any use Mendelic acid? I'm trying a low (10%) Mandelic Acid every other day for some discoloration on my skin. I don't like Retin-A personally. If I respond well to the 10%, I'll try a higher concentration as monthly peel. Place with a solid reputation for this and others is Make Up Artists Choice: http://www.makeupartistschoice.com/
Mandelic Acid: An alpha hydroxy acid derived from the bitter almond nut. This is a gentle acid which exfoliates the skin with very little topical discomfort. Excellent for inhibiting the formation of brown spots, and hyperpigmentation. Will not cause unwanted lightening of the skin in darker skin tones. Treat acne, melasma, sun damaged skin, large pores, blackheads, wrinkles, dull, sallow skin.

For some, does a great job on acne scars and others stuff.

Gets great reviews and is not very expensive. Some of the before and after pics seem a little too good to be true/best case scenario, but that site has a very good rep with people. I'm always bad about sticking to a skin regimen, but I aint getting any younger and need to get better about that.

At higher concentrations (25%) more like a peel. At the lower concentrations, used every day or every other depending on sensitivity. After use of the low concentration stuff, you add in the peel strength once every 2-4 weeks. You need to use good moisturiser after, etc. Read more at link above. I'm no skin care expert.

I've used this exact product for over a year with good results! I do it before bed and moisturize well after as it gives me dry skin for a day and two days later im smooth and glowing. Glycolic is better for acne but I'm 34 and most think I'm still in my early to mid twenties. Great product for us "older" ladies.

Do you still use it? One time thing? Did you do it as the 25% peel or the lower concentration daily?
