Hey there everyone=) I've been lurking this site for a while and successfully did my first night dancing ever. I enjoyed it a lot (and made a great amount) so thank you all!
To my question, I viewed an ad on craigslist about a webcam studio and lurked about that here as well and decided to give them a call. It is a physical studio in my county, with it's own little bedrooms and all that. It's nice, and I like it. My first day was fine and I'm sure I'll only get better.
I've read about how you can't stop thinking about working after you log off, and I really can't! I only made about $60 but for my first day and it being probably a really slow time of day for that kind of thing I was proud of myself.
My boss told me I can't work from home (it's a streammate studio) and I'm getting tempted to apply with another site as well like MFC, naked, etc.
The reason I'm with the studio, is because I don't have any good equipment or anything like that yet. However if it came down to it, I'd buy my own good cam and what not to set up a space here.
My boss did tell me that if I were to quit working at the physical studio, I wouldn't be able to use streammate again for a year. She also made it seem like I wouldn't be able to cam at any place for a year. 1. I'm just wondering if that's true? how could I be blocked from using ANY cam site if I quit? just seems odd.
2. do you think I would possibly get fired if I opened an account under my name and whatnot on another cam site to work from at home as well?
I'm almost feeling like it was a mistake taking the job in the studio and I should've just sucked it up and began work from home. sigh. I guess I just feel more comfortable starting somewhere physical. Any advice or ideas? Anyone ever been in my situation?
