    OK Wow, I never said fruits are excluded or natural sweeteners...(although I do not recommend drinking a lot of juice. It's often just sugar water. Better to eat fruit than drink juice) I meant cutting out JUNK. I still eat fruit and put honey on my oatmeal. I am aware that there is sugar in sauces, yogurt, etc. There's some sugar in my protein bars that I eat at work. There's no way to 100% avoid ALL sugar. I meant no alcohol and no sugary snacks that serve no nutritional purpose. I try to stay under 20grams of sugar a day.

    If some of you want to cut out fruit too, that's up to you. I started this to ditch my ice cream and candy snacking habits.

    I'm not knocking fruit or natural sugars. I can't! But I don't eat flavored yogurt like key lime pie yogurt. I mix vanilla and plain yogurt non fat now and sprinkle a little cinnamon on top and some apple slices or a banana. And I'm cutting way back on cheese. I've also cut out sweet tea and white potato.

    ^ thats how I have a dessert, I also sprinkle shredded coconut on top of berries mixed with double cream ..... yum

    Cheese is a vice for me, supposedly a matchbox sized chunk is the daily limit, I ate at least double that of Mersey and a wedge of Brie last night....

    this thread is awesome!! i try to avoid sugar as much as possible, but i've been bad lately.one thing that really helps me stay on track is buying quest bars (the ones sweetened with erythritol, not sucralose). they're low/no sugar protein bars that aren't digusting (not amazing....but not disgusting) and they help me from caving if i'm out and about and can't easily get a healthy snack!

    I'm joining you ladies, I've set a low carb-moderate protein-high fat goal for December. Sugar and alcohol don't fit my macros

    Yeah I saw it. My new gym has all the flavores layied out. Omg I tried Premier protein shake vanilla today and it was soooo good! It only has 1g of sugar and 30g protein. Most protein shakes are gross or full of sugar. I'm in love with these things!
