    Default Dancing and age limits

I was wondering if anyone has ever been turned down because of their age? If you are over 30?

It probably depends on the club.

The club I work has a couple of 40 year old grandmas lol! I don't like them because they've been in the game for decades and act like the run sh!t when really they don't. But I will give them credit as far as looking a few years younger than what they really are.

Some clubs won't trip about age so long as your face and body look good. Just know if you do get hired you will be competing with tight young dancers in their 20's so it even more important to do things that preserve your youthful looks and energy.

I'm hitting 30 in a couple of weeks and I'm not worried. The top earners that I know are in their 40's and make me look like shit.

It's more about how you look than how old you are. I can't see any club turning down a hot 30+ year old. A haggard 30+ year old will certainly have a harder time getting hired in nicer clubs though.

These threads amuse me. I'm 46 and only been turned down from 1 club in my life and I've been hired at every top club in every top city after 38( that's when I started exclusively traveling). I'm a top earner if not the top and I never get guessed over 28. 24-25 is the general age I get guesssed. I look better than most the 20 somethings in the club. Ok there you go. It really depends on what you look like. I'm almost 5 feet 7 113 pounds , blonde, D boobs and have the complete package and can sell ice to eskimos so...

over 30 doesn't mean anything. the number of your age doesn't mean anything ( up to a point of course, i've never seen a 60 or 70 year old dance but who knows) its how you look and how you take care of yourself. i'm 27 and i look the same if not younger than i did at 19 or 20.
take good care of yourself and you'll be fine. kind of shocks me how people think 30 is old but i guess a lot of people treat their bodies like shit.

Surprising a lot of 20 year olds ain't all that tight, speaking as a mid 30's girl, the generation after mine was significantly more sedentary and ate much more processed food, it is my opinion that ours was the last decade of thin kids. This is not a generalization as many women in their early 20's are hot and tight.

It's a fact though. The older you get, the harder you gotta work. (At least if you're short and half Mexican with slow metabolism)

That's my club. A lot of them are out of shape. The hot bitches are 30+. Hottest one imo, is in her 40's. Looks like a play mate in her mid 20's.

Idk why a club would have a problem with someone's age. As long as she's hot. It's all genetics, lifestyle, and/or a good ps.

Yeah, age doesn't really matter, it's all about how you look, feel and your vibe. If you are hot and can make money, fucking get that shit. My mom is 55 and she gets told she looks 30 all the time. I'm glad I have good genes, I have that to look forward to.

I know I don't look my age but I am at the point where I need to make a few decisions re. maintenance beyond healthy lifestyle choices.

I get guessed between mid - late 20's, although a young guy guessed at 34 a few weeks ago which concerned me (I have been told he was being a dickhead by the other dancers though).

I'm 29 and make way more now than at 19. The big 30 is coming up and I think I have another good ten years in me worth of dancing. I'm in way better shape than most on the early 20 year olds at my club.

I lvoe threads like this to remind me that being in your 30s isnt old. I know i can definitely cam for another 10 years but I was talking to an old girlfriend who actually used to dance and i mentioned going back to dancing next year and working/traveeling until about 34 or 35, and she was like you still want to dance at your age( mind you i would be only 32). So i took offense for a min and thought maybe i am crazy but then i came to reality and realized i take extreme care of myself and i still get carded like crazy so i should be fine. I do sometimes wish i looked as hot and was as smart as i am now in my 20s bc i would be SET by now lol.

I haven't been turned down for my age. No one ever believes my real age anyway.

If there was a personal limit for dancing, for me, would be for physical reasons. I've been going to the club less frequently, but those shoes are killing my feet and knees. I don't think I could take much more in another few years.

Thank you. I figured everybody would think I was bragging, But I earned those rights. My mom is 72 and looks 50's. She modeled in her youth but is about 70 over weight right now which makes me sad because you don't see heavy people in their 80's. my sister did crack all her life and is just turned 42 and gets carded for cigarettes. Attitude has a lot to do with it too. I don't agree with tempest that you have to work harder. I worked harder in my 20's. But yeah I just woke up and I forget my whole point.Lol.

I honestly think it's all the hormones and crap they've been putting in food for the last what 20 years. I notice all my girlfriends I went to high scholl with all look like their in their 20's and then I see girls like courtney stodden who look older than me. And I'm just using her as an example but I do believe it's the crap in our food that's aging people quickly.

^^Maybe, but I'm 27 and ate a ton of awful stuff until my early 20s. I still get carded every time. Most of my dancer friends do too. Not impressive, but I definitely don't look older than the last generation.

As far as weight goes, you're probably right though.

^ Awe! Thank you. We've had many of these threads. Last time I posted a pic of me and my 53 year old gf I travel with. It's not in this computer anymore. I have posted pics in the ass thread and topless in jeans a few years ago.

Pffft. I'm in my late 30's and I can dance circles around girls half my age with years more experience. 30 is SO not old.

As far as the generation after mine looking older, I firmly believe that it's the fact that there are more disastrous drugs available. Methamphetamines more than anything.

The only club I think I've ever been turned down from because of age was Barely Legal in New Orleans, I was 24 at the time, with a mama body (stretch marks, slightly saggy boobs). The club lights were so BRIGHT and harsh, blue almost and I felt like I didn't fit in. It could also have been because I didn't have the pole skills and it seemed a very pole-centric club.

I'm 28 now and I've worked 3 clubs in the last year no problem. It seems the median age for dancers where I'm at is late 20s, early 30s.

^ that's the only club my 44 year old gf could get hired at. But 2 years before I was there with my 28 year old gf and another girl and they went there and they said they don't take girls with boob jobs. My 44 year old gf looks like a porn star( like a really young better looking , skinny big and. I'm surprised no other clubs would take her. But it was during superbowl.
