    Default 2015's Saving Hustle

Living paycheck to paycheck? Have a spending habit? Can't seem to SAVE any money? Behind on taxes? Me too!

    How do we do this?

    I. Figure out your ENTIRE monthly expenses. Food, bills, shelter, recreation, etc. That is the amount you must make.

II. Take that amount and try your best to triple it. I know many of us don't put aside taxes right away because we can't afford to. Tripling your monthly expenses ensures that you can actually put 15-25% away for taxes and not worry about your financial state.

III. SAVE THE REST. This is a limited job to most females. Eventually, we will either,
    A.) Burnout.
    B.) Find a stable job.
C.) Experience a decrease in earnings.
D.) Experience a medical condition, family tragedy, or other factors that may limit your camming or make you stop completely.

    Key Points:

    1. Be frugal while self-indulging. We have to enjoy the money we make in some way, shape or form. Make sure that you really want what you're spending your money on. Buying clothes? Check out clearance racks before buying that $40 sweater. You can come across some great deals. Want your nails done? Check out other nail salons in the area. Most rates are competitive and even though that extra $5 doesn't seem like alot, it eventually adds up.

    2. You will perform better on camera when you don't have to stress so much about money. Therefore, when you save, you're really giving yourself another boost to your income. (At least, that's my opinion.)

    3. Most importantly, give it your all. Having an epic day and already reached your goal? Try to push yourself to stay on longer. Push yourself and try to work longer hours.

    2015 Saving's Hustle:

    Monthly Expenses Amount: ____

    Monthly Expenses Amount x3: ____

    Amount Saved Monthly: ____

At the end of 2015, I will have _______ saved.

I think this is an awesome thread! I had my financial adviser set me up a budget which will allow me to have one year's income in my savings (non touchable) in 4 years time. My numbers my look huge below but that is because my minimum annual income includes my expenses, savings, and (assets non liquid) personal investments.

Monthly Expenses Amount: $6,644.23 (this includes everything, expenses. savings, personal investments and taxes)

    Monthly Expenses Amount x3: $19,932.69

    Amount Saved Monthly: $2,091.06

At the end of 2015, I will have $25,092.72 saved with everything already taxed I might be short a few thousands because I set my taxes at 35% but being self-employed I found out that federal taxes are only around 24% depending on how you file and of course you have your state taxes as well. 35% for taxes is usually reaching but I still include it anyway.

^ Not at all Lils. I was actually going to create a budget thread which included everything but decided not to so this is all your idea.

In 2015 I am gonna get my own house and a new car and I plan to pay them in 2 years. That means 130.000$ to pay in 2 years (I could do it in even longer time.but I want to get rid fast of it).So that means 65000$ in 1 year.At all this amount I will add the rent I still pay here and all my monthly expenses.
    So, monthly expenses =6500$
Monthly expenses x3 = 19500$ (if i ever manage to do this,it means i will pay my house in 12 months lol)
    Amount saved=13000$ .
Ok that's a huge amount! Seriously! But is good to have it written down...This reminds me tonight I must put more hours in!

    Can I join this?

I have a FT job so intend on using that money for my monthly expenses and just saving my camming money in a separate bank account. I have made a ticker which I probably wont reach as I'm new to camming but I don't intend on spending a penny of my camming money (except pay taxes) as I have a FT job to live off.

    Good luck all

Lets get this thread active- I'm using it as motivation in combination with the 6 figures in 2015 thread.

Yess! I worked out what I need to make to bank the net amount I want at the end of the year.

    Monthly expenses: $898
    Monthly expenses x3: $2694
Amount saved monthly (for the first 5 months of the year): $898
Amount saved monthly: (for the rest of the year): $1796
Amount saved at the end of the year: $15266

I have the savings amount split because during the first few months of the year I need to finish paying off some outstanding things etc and I am also going travelling later on so a third of the money will be used as rolling expense money.

I think I will bump this thread again. I find it hard to save without a goal though- Its such a motivation trigger to have something to reach for and when the goal seems far off- like a house deposit, I can't seem to motivate myself.

This is a fabulous thread. I'll be moving in a few weeks and drastically cutting my essential bills/expenses, so I want to start this challenge and put 65-80% of my income in savings/tax fund each month for the next 1-3 years so I can retire early! Thanks for the thread, m'dear!

Also a dancer, but I like the idea...

It's been slow here, we are still recovering from summer...
So I'm going to be happy with making 2x my expenses, and saving $400 a month right now. I need to spend the rest of my extra $$ in order to keep myself sane... it really burns me out from dancing when I don't spend enough on fun things!
