    Default best eye creams?

So I did a search for this but nothing much came up in specifics to eye creams.

The skin under my eyes is starting to look a bit puffy and darker-- I'm not sure why since I'm getting an insane amount of sleep since I'm not working and am being super careful as far as taking care of my skin (and I'm only 25).

I've done some research on eye creams and most that are coming up are pretty pricey-- I don't mind spending a lot on a skincare product as long as it works, but don't want to shell out a bunch of money for a crappy product.

Which eye creams would you ladies recommend?

Dermalogica Intensive Eye Repair...or maybe another of their eye creams depending on your skin type/needs, I really like all of their products. Not cheap but not too pricey either, and they are worth the money.

If it's just dark circles and not line or wrinkles (of course no wrinkles, your 25..), one that has worked for me is very inexpensive: Grenier gel. It has a little roller top to roll under your eyes. I kept my in the fridge and used it in the morning. Can't remember the name, but the tube is green.

One that is really pricy but does work (give it a week to see a difference) is Dior's Totale Capture for eyes. It's a serum, use morning and night. Around $75.

I have really bad dark circles and sometimes really bad puffiness. I find things work for about a year and I have to change( same with face creams). These are the ones that have worked, skin ceuiticals Ag$ e eye cream. It's 85. I got a kit with strivectin face, eye and neck. The eye was good the whole kit was like 80. Exuviance, again I got a kit with 3 products and it was like 78, the eye cream was pretty good. Murad , again I got a kit( the eye cream itself is 150) and it was good. If you have a sephora or ulta go ask for samples and see what you like before you buy or get kits. I love the kits because I hace sooo many things I use on my face and for travel they are smaller so it makes it easier.

Def try the samples first, everybody's skin is so different. I tried Srivectin and Murad and both were so itchy I wanted to claw my skin off. I'm experimenting with other stuff, will update if I find a Holy Grail.

Yeah everyone is different. I don't even read reviews anymore because most the stuff I like including hair, vitamins, eye cream either everone likes it or it gets like 60%. Murad and strivectin both make multiple eye crams. I'll look at the names and post later. But I did read reviews on the strivectin and a lot of woman said all the stuff in the kit did that. The neck cream did it to me at first.

^I use to use that one. I like it and they make another one that isn't bad either. the avocado is good for a younger girl with just a little dark circles and puffiness. i love the smell and how it feels. In fact I think I have an old sample in my bathroom . Haha.

I bought Oil of Olay Regenerist micro sculpting cream and found it to be too oily. It certainly made my face feel firmer and very nice but it also brought on pimples. I switched to Oil of Olay Age Defying anti-wrinkle night cream and it works for me. I don't have saggy skin or any wrinkles yet because I'm 26 but I do believe the more preemptive you are the better. Sometimes after a long shift this cream is very helpful in keeping my skin actually plump and firm around my skull lol

Also I use the regenerist cream on my butt now lol its nice putting 40 dollar cream on my butt

I get samples from Lancome & use 2 different creams.. One is for wrinkles(which I don't have coz I'm only 31) and the other is for lifting & hydrating. They're ok so far.

Audrey, do I remember correctly that you smoke? Apologies if I'm wrong. But obviously this would be something that could contribute to aging / thinning skin. I'm sure you're well aware of this, but I thought I'd mention that spending extra money on an eye cream may not be worth it if you're still smoking. I believe smoking actually breaks down the collagen in your skin, and the first place you'd notice this effect is on the super-thin skin around your eyes.

^I do smoke. I'll be cutting down majorly over the holidays to one or two (and the e cig) since all the employers I have spoken to for nanny jobs are very anti-smoking. But quitting completely is just not something I can do!

For those who use eye creams, have you noticed that the effects diminish a bit when you've used a certain brand for a few months?

^ Yes. I said that earlier. That's why I've tried so many. They seem to work like 6 months or so and stop. Then on to the next. lol.

I use to love Lamer when it was the original formula. I bought some after este Lauder bought them out and it's not the same. Revive is the same price and a million times better. Well some of the revive is 400 a shot but the moisturizing renewal is around 185. I love it and it's the only thing that hasn't stopped working on me. I've been using it 4 years.

I really like Midnight Recovery by Kiehls, it's been great for when I wake up hungover. For long term use I usually wear their Cryste Marine Eye Firming treatment. They're kind of pricey but it lasts me a while and I've noticed actual improvement.
