    Default Bodywash/Body lotion recommendations!

    Hi ladies,

My skin is super wierd, it's very sensitive, dry but I tend to break out on my back and chest. What do you recommend for a bodywash and lotion? I'm so frustrated!

Avoid the Oil Of Olay bodywashes...too heavily perfumed. (I had an allergic reaction.)

Cetaphil, and for skin lotion- St. Ives.

I'm currently using a brand of shower gel called "NOLA parfume" (from the Ronnie Shugar Decorative Arts collection.) I got it at the Dollar Store- it's awesome. In other words not all bodywashes are created equal- try a few and see how your skin reacts.

Thank you, I'll grab some Cetaphil and St. Ives tomorrow and try them out!

Side note- due to amusing hereditary reasons, I found out I am better off using "sensitive skin" formulations for skincare products. If you have "mixed zone skin" (like many people) it's better to spend a little more on sensitive skin products than to walk around feeling uncomfortable all the time. I try odd things here and there (like Dollar Store scores) but in general I pick Sensitive Skin items.

Yes, I only tend to get "sensitive skin" skin care but lately it's not cutting it anymore :/ Either I'm breaking out or my skin is super dry. So frustrating!

I loved how moisturizing this body wash was, especially for the price: http://www.amazon.com/Olay-Defying-M...=1418785123971

...but, as someone else mentioned, the fragrance is pretty intense. It doesn't linger much post-shower, but it's that 'old lady perfume' smell that makes you scratch your head wondering what Olay was thinking.

I used to swear by Dove Bar Sensitive Skin, it made my skin so nice and soft... but every once in a while it would dry my skin out for some reason. I have since switched to Kirk's Original Coco Castile Bar Soap, its cheap and has been amazing for my skin. I don't have dry skin or breakouts on my back anymore, its made with coconut oil so its super nice. I moisturize with coconut oil when i'm done. Between the coconut oil and the coconut oil soap i'm glowing. For $3 bucks Kirk's is worth picking up.

Would you say it's better than Dr. Bronners Magic Soaps? I use 18-in-1 hemp peppermint pure Castile soap. It smells good and I feel clean after but somewhat dry.

How bout Shea Moisture prods? Sold @ Target, Ulta, CVS, Walgreens..or go to sheamoisture.com..I believe they have a black soap or wash that may be good, I'm sure I've heard it mentioned on here.
I used their hair prods only.

I used Shea Moisture body products in the past. Good stuff but a little pricey.

I can only use dove moisturizing body wash. I get sensitive down there with other products. I don't know why because I use to be able to use anything. For moisturizers I use 3, shea cocoa butter one, body shops shea body butter and the one at target ( I forget the name but it's similar to the body shop one and like 10 cheaper. oh and Keils crem de corps.

I can't comment because I have never tried Dr Bronners.
