Default Where/how do you hide your work bag or outfits from relatives etc?

My mother is coming to stay with me for 6 weeks and having my work bag here at home is absolutely not an option. I was thinking of just leaving it at the club in the locker for the time but that brings 2 problems:

how the heck am I supposed to wash my outfits??? Can't really buy new ones from the house mom for 6 weeks!

i really wanted to try a new club/ travel dance during that time which obviously means I need the bag and can't keep it at my club. And obviously I can't show up there just to get my stuff because they will know I am going to another club and they would be really pissed/not want me back

Any chance you could just leave everything in the trunk of your car & hit up a public laundry once a wk or so under the guise of 'running errands'? That's what I would do, depending on what your options are for keeping your mother occupied while you take care of work & work-related stuff like laundry & pre-work prep.

If you have another dancer you could trust, why not have her keep your work stuff at her place? If necessary you could negotiate a price for her to do laundry at her place (paying for soap & electricity) or give her the $$ to take your work clothes to the laundromat.

your mom must be a very nosey person, why the heck would she be snooping through your personal bags/items? i would flip if my mom did that, if she does so, say they were for a costume party? LOL

I agree with this, b/c my outfits & lingerie were how I got outed to my family.

I live with my parents and hid stripping for like a year, so I know all about this LOL. DON'T leave it in your locker! I once worked with a girl who would "clip" the locks if she wanted something. Not that that would happen but just saying, it's a bad idea.

Okay what I did was put all my crap in like an abercrombie bag, I had several bags like that in my closet so it blended in. I would put old clothes on top of stripper stuff so if anyone asked I'd just say it was clothes I was donating. I started going to the laundromat but my mom was super snoopy about it so sometimes at night I'd wash all my shit in the bathtub or the sink. I mean it really wasn't hard to hide everything..

Also just say you left like your makeup there at the club and you need it. Or your phone or something. I always leave and forget tons of stuff in my locker and I just show up and get it and bounce, I've never really been questioned.

p.s. i would never leave my stuff in my car. sometimes I'd leave shoes in the trunk and my mom would need to move my car or whatever then decide to "clean it out for me" and my heart would literally drop. lol. scary.

If OP's in a small space or a studio-ish setup, she might be hardup on hiding places for her stuff & a means of sneaking it in/out.

Can't leave anything in the trunk or anywhere in the house.... She is obsessed with finding and cleaning everything and not stupid. If she found that bag there would be no way she wouldn't know.. Well I found a way:

I'm getting a locker at the club and my friend is so sweet to take my clothes with her and wash them...
