Me: It's Wonderful Life.
MANY MEN WANTED TO LAY ME DOWN, BUT FEW WANTED TO LIFT ME UP
-Eartha Kitt

I like the traditional ones like It's A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story (the story takes place about a half hour from me), Rudolph, etc.
honestly I like anything and everything on the hallmark channel around this time of the year - they have the best christmas/love movies

Well, 'Eyes Wide Shut' is certainly about 'celebrating the holidays' in New York ... in more ways than one !!!Uh..those are Xmas movies?

^^"Eyes Wide Shut" is about the Illuminati cult stuff....kinda freaky. But I do remember there being a christmas tree in the movie, so yeah! hehe
I personally love "The Nutcracker Prince" - it has a magical feeling!

"Dancing tables, making deals with devils like a drunk beauty queen"

Well, the movie starts off with a Christmas party, later a 'holiday celebration' ( that admittedly isn't exactly Christian ), and ends with Christmas shopping !!! And there must be two dozen Christmas trees in various scenes.Eyes Wide Shut is about the Illuminati cult stuff....kinda freaky. But I do remember there being a christmas tree in the movie
As to Illuminati stuff ...a fresh 'rehash' can be found at .
(snip)"It seems as if every scene up until this point features a Christmas tree, usually upon entrance. Wikipedia says that Lee Siegel believes the purpose of the Christmas tree motif is:
because it symbolizes the way that “Compared with the everyday reality of sex and emotion, our fantasies of gratification are, yes, pompous and solemn in the extreme…. For desire is like Christmas: it always promises more than it delivers.”

Scrooged and A Christmas Story tie for my absolute favorite.
But I also have a weird love for Jingle All the Way.
Don't try to win over the haters. You are not the Jerk Whisperer.
Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

Bad Santa
Nightmare Before Christmas
Bonus: http://thefilmfellas.wordpress.com/2...istmas-movies/ Number 7 and Number 6 look really good!

National lampoons Christmas Vacation
"Can we read it on the Smoking Gun? "

Nothing Like the Holidays, Muppets Christmas and Elf. I always watch or DVR all the Christmas movies on Lifetime and Hallmark channels too. Some are a little sappy, but I LOVE Christmas![]()
The original "Miracle on 34th Street " ; the George C. Scott version of "A Christmas Carol " and a sleeper- " It Happened on 5th Avenue " .

^^^ I like your 'sleeper' choice ... but in today's world the whole lot of 'em would be jailed in a New York minute if, by some remote chance, they were able to actually make it past building security in the first place !
Maybe. But it was set in December , 1945 . It was a comedy and it was highly topical at the time. It highlighted the housing shortage ( not just in NYC but in many American cities ) ; post-war unemployment especially among returning veterans and the contrast between them and those who made fortunes during the war.

I haven't seen it, but I'll have to go with "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever" based on the trailer alone. I'm thinking it'll be like the Sharknado of Christmas movies.![]()
Cats LOVE Christmas.
All those holiday treats.
Christmas Trees to jump on - when I used to have a full size tree EVERY cat I had tried to jump in it . Once. They learned and remembered.
Ornaments to play with. I use shatterproof.
Fireplaces to curl up in front of.
Leftovers from the Feast Of The Seven Fishes.
They don't say " Merry Cat-Mas" for nothing.
My favorites are:
It's a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Story
A Christmas Carol (1951 version with Alistair Sim)
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Scrooged
