Is it a legal requirement to have a warning page on escort website? My webmaster did not put one on initially and I have seen them on all the other sites so just want to see if anyone knows if it is required?

It's smart to do so. Law enforcement gleefully surfs the Internet to check adult sites and keep up on new slang/abbreviations for the biz. Trust me on this.
There are often disclaimers only a paragraph long. Bang one out and have the webmaster post it.

They are basically a meaningless waste of space. Lawyers snicker at them.Do have a 'Adult content / NSFW' warning. Your etiquette section should mention that your fee is for companionship time only and any rude sexual questions will end the conversation. (Not a lawyer only pretend to be on the interwebs.)

It's always a good idea to have an adult content/nudity warning.
If you're asking about one of those "money exchanged for companionship only", "by proceeding you confirm that you are not a member of law enforcement" etc etc etc type warnings - they do not protect you in any way whatsoever or help you at all if you are busted for prostitution.
I put a warning page up after I was stupid enough to get involved with an unstable client who eventually did major damage to my personal life. The criminal lawyer I hired at the time seemed to think having both legal statements (on both my website and email) was a pointless concept. Also, sexy revealing photos can be used against you as well. It's easier in court to have less evidence against you. I am now considering creating a private password protected section of my website or a special mailing list only for regulars I've seen over the years for the sexy photos and posting cropped face photos with cute, stylish clothes instead in public ads. It really helps business having new photos..
Screen well, refer clients to p411 for an extra layer safety, use verifyhim.com, and trust your gut instinct. Also, if a client is new I make certain they send me a copy of their drivers license after employment verification. Most men are happy to provide this information. If there are any acronyms such as PSE, GFE, etc. on your website, expect to be found guilty in court. P411 seems to have removed this portion of the website where it speaks of acronyms & "things you like to do in personal time" as well, I haven't fully checked the updated p411 website out yet so I can't be entirely sure. Apparently laws have changed.
Police arrest providers who don't screen, and girls who are specifically targeted (when a tip off from the public happens...thats when police get creative in order to make sure you feel safe seeing them)

This is a great idea, I know a lot of porn actresses have Members-Only sections on sites for somewhat obvious reasons.
My site was pretty plain. I do know of a girl who did get busted in my region for using hobby abbreviations in her ads and graphic pictures. (She also had drugs on her when Vice grabbed her so she was screwed.)
I didn't have to worry too much due to where I worked but I would warn any girl working in a Vice-cop heavy region (PDX, Atlanta, Houston, etc.) to use every precaution.
It's so true about areas crawling with vice! DC and large cities are where girls need to screen well. I once was scammed by a man who had only 2 dollars in the envelope he left for me. He had reputable references (who had no clue). I eventually discovered he held a girl at gunpoint and robbed her after a post was made from other girls who experienced the same problem!!
I know girls always say to count the money upfront but I would never do that for so many reasons (one being the fact that if it was a police officer, I did not even touch the money so money wasn't involved). I would rather be scammed out of money instead of robbed or raped at gunpoint.

Yeah I didn't always touch money. My process for screening in person is an old school style way my 1st boss taught me (make the client undress to make sure he is not wearing a wire or badge) & I would usually eyeball the amount from across the room.
It just really depends on what is normal for a region. I was told in San Francisco that Vice cops there can go all the way up to BJs and getting into bed with an escort to get to arrest her. This is why you need to go slow and use caution if you think you need to....
