Default Body chains that aren't terrible

I recently bought a simple rhinestone body chain to wear over a garter belt. It looked really adorable, but it broke into pieces five minutes into my first dance of the night! I figured out that twisting the chain just the slightest bit caused the links to pop open, rendering it basically unwearable.

So my question is, are they all like that?! Or are there body chains that can actually be worn by people, not mannequins? Any recommendations would be awesome.

I had one a while ago. One link came undone, but I was able to quickly and easily fix it and it never happened again. I ended up selling it when my friend wore it and it looked better on her.

I don't know what the brand was, if there was one. I got it at my wig/beauty store for $20. The store is one of the little hole in the wall type places that has great prices and product. Check out the Asian and black beauty stores. They ALWAYS have the best stuff.

I have one that I wore for years. It's a sterling silver serpentine chain. I had it made from one of those "necklace by the inch places" at a mall. I chose it because it was round and would just roll and slide if anything pulled on it like clothes or I was doing a floor show. Thinking back to where I worked when I got it....It had to be around 1996. I probably wore it for 5 years solid, like every weekend. I still have it in my camming prop box. I pull it out for photos from time to time. I did have a rhinestone one and probably still have it somewhere. I didn't wear it much because they are nowhere near as comfortable and will snag your clothes. I've also had cheap ones that broke after a few wears. Rue 21 seems to have some cool ones from time to time. I picked one up for $2 last week that is more like a necklace but drapes down to wrap under the boobs and around the waist. They wouldn't be hard to dance in....and at that price who cares if it breaks after a few weeks?

Try forever 21 or any trendy mall shop. I think they are back in style again so it should not be too hard to find one. I recently bought a hand chain and I love it! If your into body chains you might like those as well.
