    Default The "Unbelievable" Hustle

I always thought that strippers would try to tailor the hustle they were using to get more dances to the customer. It seems to me the quality of the hustle has declined over the years. I am a bald, middle aged, white guy, (I have managed to keep my gut in check though), so why do the these young earlier 20something dancers try to use the "You're making me horny/wet/excited" hustle? Really? Come on now. Why not use something more believable like, "You're cute" or "You're a nice guy" or "I enjoy dancing for you" type line? When the girl uses the "You're making me ...." line it just strikes me as too forced/unbelievable and it really breaks the "mood" for me. I just pay the girl at that point and go back to my drink.

They probably use it because it's worked for them in the past and it's a "turn and burn" hustle which gets to the point, requires little effort, time and sales skills. Also, some may have no actual conversational skills and don't know how to tailor their approach to suit different types of customers etc. Or...maybe what they say about bald guys is true .

OliveJardin - I think you nailed this answer. This is the current trend in the dancing world, and I think that in a way, it always has been. The turn-and-burn hustle is definitely being fanned into flame by this economy: too many girls, not enough money. Money is getting harder to come by in this industry, and it's spread more thinly, but rather than focusing on becoming better salespeople, girls are looking for quicker and easier ways to line their pockets. A fast line requires no emotional investment or intellectual effort, and even if it only has a 20% success rate, that's good enough for many women. If you aren't emotionally present in this job, you can generally work for much longer without burning out. It isn't the worst strategy, monetarily, but it definitely reduces the quality of this industry. It reduces the quality of the customers (customers who appreciate high-quality entertainment / hustles are turned off by these ribald approaches), and it reduces the quality of the girls (clubs are flooded with girls, and talent / sales skills become less valued, which can crowd out the 'best' entertainers).

It's my personal opinion that this is one of the major reasons why many dancers look to breast augmentations as fillers for their shortcomings. Some women who decide to purchase BAs are also focused on developing their sales acumen and becoming more entertaining (I know many of the girls on SW take this job very seriously), but it seems far more common to use augmentations as shortcuts around pure laziness.

Thanks for replies, and the compliment OliveJardin. I'll just take it with grain of salt in the future, and if the girl is dancing well ignore it, and get some more dances.

Alternatively, hold out for a girl who can put a bit of effort into her job.

This is kinda what I was getting at in an earlier thread. With many dancers, there is no tailored sales pitch, it's just their standard line that they give to every customer. Of course, some dancers don't really need a sales pitch initially, but even those dancers need some strategy to keep the customers returning. Although admittedly attractiveness is part of the equation for me to choose a dancer to spend my time and money on, attractiveness isn't everything because, frankly, a large majority of dancers are incredibly attractive. What sets dancers apart for me are those who also take the time and effort to make a connection and/or be a little unique. Just my customer 2 cents.

OJ, you mean, "It's not a bald spot, it's a solar panel for a sex machine"?

Kinda like a potbelly is really a " Tool Shed".

Though male pattern baldness is caused by an abundance of testosterone. Science claims humans don't emit pheromones, but I take Testosterone injections, and the female horses I work with see me as a dominant male. I've always felt they could smell testosterone, and I know with the injections I have noticed that I smell differently.

I would feel so stupid using those lines. I always just open up with "Hey, you look like you could use a buddy, I know I could! I'm [stage name], nice to meet you, what's yours?"

Personally, I love bald, middle-aged white guys. I have a fetish for bald heads (completely bald/shaved though, not half-way bald with hairs in the back). Like Bruce Willis, for example. OMG.

I'm jus sayin', you never know. Some girls actually like that look.

More to Vackra's point for me the hustle can be creative, but it also can be as simple as walking up to me, introducing yourself and saying would you like some company. I can say yes, great, and get to know the dancer for a bit, or if I'm not interested, no thank you and they can move along to make money elsewhere. I don't expect a dancer to spend more than a minute or two with me making small talk before determining whether I am going to get dances or not. Usually, I'll let them know within that time one way or another (usually a yes if I accept your invitation for some company). That minute or two invested in small talk goes a long way with me and possibly other customers.

I shave my head as well and im in my 30s. I get that hustle often as well. My bald head appears to attract extra attention at times in the club, but it's hard to determine if it's genuine as well as the "wetness" even when she is "wet". But i have to admit, i enjoy it at times, it really depends on the girl and how well we're able to have a conversation. The traditional hustle is nice as well, changing things up keeps it interesting for me, just my opinion.

With my question I didn't really mean the opening line, but the one used after she has already given me a couple of dances and wants me to buy more. I realize there are only so many openers that can be used, and the girls need to make a quick assessment. I am also aware that some do actually find a bald head attractive, but not every single girl does. If I only heard it a couple of times I might buy it, but not when I hear the "Your making so..." 75/80% of the time.

Agreed. It slips out after a few dances.

^....he might be waiting a while, "effort" (i.e. sales, people and conversational skills) seems to be the least common attribute on dancer's CV's these days (like you mentioned before-I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing this too!).

Bonus points to the OP for realizing it's a hustle, at least.

I don't know why they go with this approach vs trying to upsell at this point. If you'd bought a few floor dances from me, and weren't sure about others, I'd agree with you and say we should take a tour to see the more private areas.

They try to use that line while trying to upsell me from lap dances to the CR as well as using it to try and get me to buy more lap dances. I think Charlie61's advice to hold out is probably the best. I get as much enjoyment out of the interaction as I do the watching a sensuous nude woman dancing. But that's just me.

I personally like it when a dancer says I make her wet, turned on, etc. Of course I know it’s just fantasy. If I wanted reality, I wouldn’t be in a SC club to start with. I don’t like all fantasy talk, but I try to cut the dancer some slack, as I know she is using lines which she knows, or hopes, work on most customers.
