I read this story and thought: "We are so alike."
Well, except for the difference in pay and the (relative level of) approval by society... regardless... it's a cute parallel.

I had read articles similar to this one, and articles featuring their competitors. The pay is not always that low depending on the area.

This is a cute article. I read an "expose" about Hooters over a decade ago that painted employment there to be much worse and more offensive.
I currently work at a popular sports bar & can say the way men behave there is very similar to the "jerks" at Hooters. I don't hate men but the bar business definitely shows you the sad underside of masculinity.
I just ate there last night! haha! My husband got mad because the guys there were staring at me (a customer)! lol. Food was decent and our server was sweet...I was wondering if they have to put up with the same shit we do. Bless them

A friend of mine lived with a Hooters Girl for over a year. Met her on the job, you see he was a cook. All the guys in the kitchen from cooks to dishwashers were dating Hooters Girls.
They tend to work long hours in the evening and the only decent guys they meet are often the ones they work with.
We often wondered how the High-Earning-Ass-Hats customers would feel if they knew half the great looking waitresses went home with one of the cooks, busboys, or dishwashers working in the back.

Wednesday86, your sig line really made me want some hamburger helper.
That is all.

If you're thinking of the Undercover Boss episode for Hooters, that was later shown to be a hoax. It was entirely scripted, filmed when they weren't open, and Hooters girls from the restaurant said the manager is wonderful and nothing like the character he had to play on TV.
Reality TV is not reality.
