Default Dropbox links generating excessive traffic?

I've used Dropbox before but only a few times. I had a guy but my lifetime content and he requested downloadable links. I woke up with an email saying my links were generating excessive traffic. Does this likely mean he shared my links on a porn forum?

More than likely everywhere he could. Hope you had it all watermarked so it can at least send you traffic back. If so then it could lead to some future sales. Had my old site hacked once in the beginning. Thousands got to view it for free, I was pissed. Then I had tons and tons of new sign ups. LOL Suddenly, wasn't so mad.

That sounds like exactly what it means and I would take those links down RIGHT THE FUCK NOW! Capital letters to be very clear!

If the download was unlimited, all he needed to post was the link and any associated password for it to be shared.

Damn. Thanks for the quick replies. I will NEVER use links for my videos again. I know they can get distributed regardless, but this shit pisses me off so bad. Especially since this creep was trying to come off as a nice guy, and I was feeling sorry for his ugly ass.

Oh love--I'm so sorry. Hard lesson learned, but never feel sorry for these fuckers. Not ever. The best reg on earth could still be a stalker-in-the-making or asshole without anything more than hope that you'll feel bad for him and trust him not to fuck you over.

Also, try googling the links themselves if you still know them. You might be able to find some places he put them and do damage control. Maybe.

Project Maenad has one-time Download links. You can search for it here on the forum. It's camgirl ran.

I'm curious why you would sell "lifetime content" and how much you sold it for. I don't see how even $1000 would be worth selling "lifetime content" because in one camgirls career she can make hundreds and hundreds of videos. I have over 500 videos in the four years i've been a camgirl making videos. That would be $2 a video.

I understand maybe content for 6 months or hell, even one year, but not "lifetime" that just doesn't make sense to me. Olive garden has 6 month soup passes but you only get soup.. is all i'm sayin'

They do this on MGF all the time! I don't know how they make any $$. I've seen them as low as $40! I just don't get it.

OP....you can absolutely use any service for download links, the trick is to just delete the link after the buyer downloads it. It's a pain, but really saves trouble and $ in the long run.

^I had assumed she meant all of her previous content to date, not all of her future content. I don't get that either. I have thousands of videos already and plan to make thousands more, can't imagine anything being worth it. My website members only have a couple hundred but they pay a monthly subscription.

He probably thinks he is a nice guy for sharing your content with everyone. Guys especially who love tube sites think they are doing us a favor. It is twisted, but how they think.

In the future, limit the number of videos. This way they will keep coming back for the new stuff instead of waiting a long time & get it all at once. www.Modelcentro.com is you want a site that they can join to get all the content and at least you will build up reoccurring memberships that many forget about. Then they will have to work to download each video, one at a time.

WATERMARK everything. So big and in a way it can't be cut out without ruining the video. If need be adjust the transparency level so they can still see you. If you have avs4you program, which is only $50 for 2 year license. This video on how to watermark is only 2 minutes long & easy to do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYZkbxuwdZg

I have been seeing girls on SM give away with gold shows "lifetime" videos. What does that EXACTLY mean? Does it really mean if a guy pledges a certain amount he gets repeat vids for as long as he wants? Don't understand that, sorry. Unless they pay big $$$.

I think it means everything they have shot up to that point, not future content.

Just because you see other models doing it, doesn't mean it is the right fit for you. Doesn't mean they are banking off of it either.

Use common sense and figure out what works for you. If it makes sense to you to do it, then go for it. If it doesn't follow your instincts.

I still sell out gold shows without offering any content. It doesn't effect my sales if I offer videos or not when doing my one or two gold shows a day. But I did try it for a bit (not a life time, but several vidoes) and may do so in the future.

Figure out what you want to achieve with it. Is it to sell out a $50 goal of a gold show? I'd say don't bother. Trying to sell out a $300 gold show and need the bigger numbers to reach that goal, then yes. That is my mind set on it.

When it comes to Token base sites, selling videos helps build up your daily goal and cam score. A way to hunt for the big fish if you ask me.

    Good Luck,
    Sam
