A minor metabolic issue could be the cause. I would hope she couldn't accidentally be exposed to something leathal that enzyme might be needed for.




There's a disease called alcoholic hepatitis, and your symptoms sound like you may have it. Get to the doctor and get tested before having one more drink. This isn't something to be "managed" while you keep drinking. You can die of liver failure if you keep drinking.
