Default Nutri-Med Thyroid Supplements ... Has anyone tried?

I'm about to order these supplements. I have a borderline hypothyroidism (so my levels aren't low enough for my DR. to prescribe medication, but their low enough that I have nearly every symptom of hypo). I used to take guggulsterone and kelp for hypo, but I stopped the kelp because I read too much can cause hypothyroidism to worsen instead of improving it. I might combine guggulsterone with the nutri-meds, but I'm going to research more on the combination of the two ... but yeah ... if anyone is curious I'll let you know if it works, and if anyone has tried it please let me know.

Your regular GP isn't really qualified to diagnose Hypothyroidism.

    You should see an Endocrenologist.

My Wife is diagnosed with Pituitary Insufficiency, which is really a mis-nomer because she has ZERO pituitary function. Her Pituitary was destroyed by a tumor 5 years ago.

The Thyroid test used by most labs have a lot of swing in the ranges and if you are consistantly on the low, or high, end of the range an Endocrine specialist needs to take a look and run a few more tests.

With no functioning Pituitary she also has no Thyroid function because the Pituitart drives almost every other hormone producer in the body.

Thanks Butter! Yeah, it definitely seems really similar to armour! This disclaimer is why they get away with selling it without a prescription http://www.nutri-meds.com/FDA_Notice_s/29.htm

Yikes hope your wife is feeling better. At least she went before it got any worse. I would see an Endocrenologist if it wasn't so expensive. My symptoms improved a lot when I started using herbs that improve thyroid function so I definitely think this should help. If not, then that probably means it's beyond just a thyroid issue and of course I'd see an endo if that's the case. My aunt had thyroid cancer, I'm not sure if it's genetic but it's good to be safe.
