Default New Foundation Tip for FLAWLESS skin

Thought I would share this - I watched this video on Youtube and have tried it the last few days and frankly, it works like magic. I have dry-ish skin and always had problems with foundation looking cakey and flakey after a few hours, but this technique has eliminated those problems.

If you don't want to watch the video, basically what you do is moisturize, then apply loose powder with a brush, THEN apply foundation. Sounds crazy, but somehow it works and holds the foundation all day.

^^^ It's the "Wayne Goss Method", which basically means using powder under your foundation instead of over it. It works really well for getting the dewy finish that's popular right now. It usually works best with loose powder and liquid foundation. The brand doesn't really matter, just use whatever you normally use.

I wonder if this will also solve the problem of my foundation/powder rubbing off on clothing? I always try to put on as little as possible & brush off any excess after I complete my makeup job but I still always seem to have it rub off on any fabric it touches.

Goss is a genius. He's got tips and tricks for everything. I trust his techniques and have learned so much from his channel. He's an actual makeup artist unlike a lot of the other teenage "gurus". My eyebrows are awesome thanks to him! anyways I'm def gonna try this out, thanks

Love Goss! All his tutorials are awesome. I love the one for an "airbrushed" finish.

What kind of foundation are you using? And does your skin tend to be oily? I wonder if maybe this is just an incompatibility issue rather than a technique issue.
