I'm guessing you offered a drivers licence -- do you have your passport w/ you? Those are much harder to fake than a drivers licence or most other IDs. Did he mistype when he ran your social & smtg weird popped up? Idk, just throwing out the possibility.
Is there no other place you can work? It seems really strange that he would raise such a fuss over the ID -- on the one hand it seems great that he is being so 'by the book' abt it, but what you described sounds a bit extreme.
First of all, I want to say that sucks and I'm sry
Anyway, is it possible that maybe they're making that up so they don't have to hire you?? Managers at strip clubs aren't always the best at being tactful. Do you have your passport on you? If you do, you should bring that along with your state ID and show them both.
Best of luck Hun, hope everything works out for the best.

I'm so sorry, that sounds straight up cruel. And I would be just as thrown off if I'd been hired all over the country and this came out of nowhere.
I'm sure you've thought of every solution we can offer, but is it an option to go back to the first club, ask if you can pay house at the end of the night, and if it's truly horrible again decide whether to cut and run or pay up and hope for a good shift next time?
I don't know if you have backup travel funds, but I've found myself wondering what I could pawn or sell if I were desperate.
Are there any other clubs in the area? I'd be hesitant to go back to the first club unless there are no other options, but you really need to just cross the ID club off your list. It's beyond bizarre but it's totally not an ID thing. Maybe they just don't want out-of-towners, or you specifically, or who cares, point is, you're not working at this club. Your ID is fine and you have further proof that it's fine with your license. It was also good enough to get your hired at the first club. I mean, you could get your ID checked by a notary, but that'd be a waste of money because I bet that club would come up with some other reason not to hire you. Just move on and know that it's not your ID, it's a crazy manager that's the issue.

This is an odd theory but you might resemble a local cop (another club on the West Coast was brought down by an undercover female cop who got hired to work at the club and she collected info to make an FBI case against the club over more than a year..) & something about you or your ID made the manager paranoid.
Frankly I've met some insane managers (cokeheads, creeps, weirdoes) that I am going to say it might be a blessing in disguise that you didn't have to work there. I know bad road trips are torturous but getting victimized by your bosses is much worse, with little to no recourse.

^ You know that is a legit possibility, the club in question is a real skeezy one with a bad reputation for ripping guys off (getting them drunk and running their credit cards), and they don't have a liquor license to begin with which means they are bringing in illegal booze. So it wouldn't be surprising if vice was trying to get in there.

If this is Arizona we're discussing here, OP get the F away from this club. Most likely they have ties to criminal activity and are really paranoid about getting infiltrated or having people do surveillance. You do not want anything to do with people like that. Working at a Deja Vu or a hole in the wall is better than getting mixed up with seriously hardcore criminals.

So sorry this happened..I can't offer any help, but I hope you can work it out

Agree w/ everyone here. Try out another club. That ID refusal stuff is BULLSHIT. Such insanity!
