Thumbs down Don't creep out a customer

Well potential customer. So I am sitting at the bar watching the football game and talking to a dancer that I have gotten some dances from in the past. Not long, just long enough to tell her to see me after the game. I turn around and their is another dancer sitting beside me. She is just looking at me with her hands in her lap, in a very demure pose. I was a little startled, but said Hi, and No Thanks not now, and went back to watching the game. After a couple of minutes, she is still there just staring at me not saying a word. She is not a new dancer, she has been there a while, and even though she is Russian, she does speak and understand English. Needless to say it was a bit creepy, and certainly did not make me inclined to get a dance from her. She finally did get up and go somewhere else.

Ugh...I can't stand customers who come in to watch the game. It's a strip club not a sports bar.

That's really odd. Either she was doing it on purpose (maybe because she was annoyed that the customers were there to watch a sports game and not spend money on dances, so she was expressing her frustration by glaring at them. After all, a strip club isn't a sports bar and dances shouldn't have to compete with a screen) or she was trying to seduce you from afar and didn't realize that her attempt was intimidating and "creepy". Maybe she needs to work on her "come hither" eyes lol?

You would be correct Monday thru Saturday. On Sundays when the football games are on; the music is turned down; the TV volume is turned up; beer, hot wings and burgers go on sale; and most of the stages go dark. Once the games are over then it reverts back to being a full blown strip club. With it being the only drinking establishment around, it really fills multiple roles. Strip Club, pub, sports bar. I do realize that is not the ideal for many of the dancers on this board, but with zoning, and the local economy being what it is a second drink hall would only cause both to close.

Doesn't matter how you justify it, don't get mad when a stripper decides to mind-fuck you when she sees you not spending money at a STRIP CLUB.

Yeah I always thought it was odd when guys complain about girls "bugging" them. You're at a strip club, if you want to eat and watch the game uninterrupted, go to a pub or a sports bar.

I've been the recipient of this hustle a couple of times when I was in clubs as a customer. One time was just an obnoxious, socially awkward cockblock, the other time was super creepy.

On the other hand I bet every dancer despises Sundays at this club. The only time game nights are good IME is when you find a customer who's betting and wins big. But while the game is on it's usually an excruciating waste of hours.

I did not say I got mad, I said it was creepy. It is the way the club is run, and apparently has been for some time.

@lol1337a: I would say you are correct as during the games there are only 3 or 4 dancers. Once the games are over there are 10 to 12 dancers working the floor. The customer base also changes over. Most of the game watchers leave and the spenders arrive.

Maybe she was double-teaming you...her job was to be the "creepy stripper" while someone else hustled you - you'd go get a dance with the other girl just to escape from the uncomfortable situation.

    Genius. $_$

Totally not what was happening. But this could actually work... It'd be fun to use in a dive during a super slow night. One girl plays the 'creepy / weird girl' to get her friend a dance (i.e. stare at the customer or do something obnoxious), and after the customer leaves, the other dancer reciprocates to get the first girl a dance. It'd be such an easy hustle - "Let's get outta here - that girl is freaking me out!"

Lol she probably wasn't even staring at you. She was probably just looking at the TV you were looking at. You probably creeped her out. This thread is hilarious

She was probably thinking about her pet that just died, pondering whether she wants to break up with her boyfriend or not, brainstorming her dissertation topic...just spacing out. Clubs are pretty dark - it can be hard to see where someone is looking, and even if someone is looking at you, it's possible that you're just in the way of their stare.

Let it go. She probably got there early for lower house and was getting frustrated at the lack of spending. It happens.

I creep people out all the time. Because when I'm in an uncomfortable situation, I like to bring those down around me.

Putting aside Salzsieder's circumstances for the dancer apparently sitting near him creepily staring at him, this is actually a thing that happens. There have been plenty of times when I am in a club, seeking to tip and buy dances when, in an attempt to solicit my business a dancer will sit down next to me, say nothing and look at me. I will generally say hi, they may or may not say hi back and then they will continue to sit next to me and say nothing. Sometimes, if I don't say anything, there have been instances when a dancer would sit there for five minutes saying nothing as I am sitting at the bar tipping and talking to the dancers as they come around.

My thoughts are this could be a hustle to get me to buy a dance just to get rid of her. i've seen that done before, (and fallen for it). I could also see how this could be a cock block tactic because if she's sitting with me, even if we are not talking, no other dancers will approach so as not to infringe upon the dancer's attempt at a sale. Normally, I won't let a dancer sit there for more than a minute if I'm not interested I'll politely mention that I'm waiting for someone else, which I technically am doing.

I'm all in on Charlie's effort to turn this into a new hustle. It would work great, send the first one in to creep you out and then you follow like a white knight to save me from the blank stare. Would definitely work on me.

That's what I was thinking! When it's slow, I tend to sit at the bar and space out. Although if I'm in a feisty mood I will intentionally make non spending customers uncomfortable until they leave. We pay more to step foot into the club than the customers do and if they aren't there to spend they need to gtfo of MY club.

Apparently you felt some type of way enough to get on this site to bitch to us about it. I need more strippers like her at my club. Drive away all the TV watchers. She sounds awesome.

I have very mixed feelings about this thread.

I've been guilty of going to a strip club with the intention of catching a football game, especially when I am traveling on a Sunday as most hotels only have cable TV, which only captures local games on Sunday afternoons during the regular season. Now yes, I could just as easily go to a sports bar, but I like strip clubs better.

Now I do think that sal was a bit over-sensitive and got creeped out too easily. Even when I am catching a game in a club, I understand where I am and that being approached is to be expected. Also, there are enough breaks in the action of a football game that I have some time to interact, at least in between plays and during half-time. If a girl doesn't mind my attention being split, then I am fine with her sitting and will gladly offer her a drink (or 3, lol). I will also do some stage tipping in between the action if I am motivated by what I see.

I'll also admit, however, that serious expenditures aren't on the table until my game is over. And if a girl acts pissy about it during the game, I'll remember it when the game is over. And, unlike sal, a girl who tried to pull a stunt like that on me would be sorely disappointed when all she got was smiles and the occasional wink, all in between plays of course.

I am a customer of the club, not automatically a customer of each and every girl in the club. If the club owner did not want me there watching the game, then he/she wouldn't put it on a big screen and offer food and drink deals designed to entice me in to come in and watch it. If a dancer wants me to be her customer too, then it is her obligation to sell me something that I want at that moment. If that means waiting for half-time or for the game to be over, then so be it.

Truth be told, many of those guys would likely not be in the club at all if the owner did not offer them a chance to watch the game at the club. How is that really better than at least having a chance to sell something or to at least get a few tips from them?
