Shoulder mounts on the pole. Start w/ this tutorial Julia Wahl also has a good tutorial covering all the grip variations, which each work different muscles.
Once you get the proper technique down, you can start working on aerial shoulder mounts
If you can get into a superman/dove on the pole, it can be easier to do the aerial shoulder mount bc your core is already strongly engaged & you can just use the core muscles like a spring to get your hips up&over.
A good challenge is to do shoulder mounts from a kneeling position on the floor, sitting up rather than on your heels, w/ your back mostly straight. This prevents you from 'cheating' by kicking up into the mount, as is easy to do when standing.
If you can do the knee hold or cupid on both sides, there's aerial crunches, or just doing them from the floor w/ one knee hooked high round the pole.
Leg lifts -- instead of just up&down w/ hands under your bum, lay your arms straight above your head on the floor. Hold onto smtg like table legs or the feet of the bed for stability if necessary. Go not just straight up&down, but also arc side to side. Practise holding your legs straight out in front, a few inches off the floor for as long as possible.





The terrible truth about abs is a low-fat diet makes abs look like....Hollywood abs.
I struggle hardcore with this- that's where my body fat is stored, period.

I LOVE this website and am currently doing the 30 days of HIIT which has made my body so much more defined. I do this in addition to my regular strength training and distance running because all her daily workouts are short and to the point.



The Ballet Beautiful Total Body workout dvd. I never had v-abs before that and got them after doing the workout but particularly the section on the abs regularly and they stayed for a few months even after I stopped doing the work outs.
It's a fun and somewhat demanding workout.
