Smiley Attention BBW's! A New Reality Show on TLC that is very Inspirational (IMO)

A new reality show on TLC, called "My Big Fat Fabulous Life", just premiered this week.
It is the story of Whitney Thorne, who got noticed from doing a Youtube video Called..."A fat girl dancing."
She has a disease, which makes her gain weight, but she has decide to keep going with her passion for dance.
I think she is a wonderful affirmation and inspiration to all BBWs everywhere!
I have wanted to do a dance related youtube video for some time, but didn't think anyone wanted to see a middle aged BBW stripper, give dance lessons! Or makeup how-to's How wrong I was!

I already know how wrong I was to think men wouldn't pay to watch me on cam. Now, the sky is the limit, and Whitney's show is helping with that!. Love her!
The show is on Tuesday at 10 p.m. , or you can go to tlc's website for full episodes.
    Enjoy!

I think it's great that she's still pursuing her dreams. Why should weight/shape affect that? I'll admit I was ridiculously nervous camming as a BBW. I was terrified of what guys would say, of the angles, of how my non washboard stomach would look. I had a couple shitty guys, but I'd say 98% of the comments are "you're beautiful", "You're perfect" and the like. I was pleasantly surprised, and even though I have shitty days of " Omg I'm so fat and disgusting", it's a nice little ego boost and to me a reminder to love myself and be comfortable with who I am, not that I always listen to myself this week especially.

I'm still nervous camming as a bbw, but so glad there are women out there like her who have the energy to dance like that. She's amazing.

If there's one thing this industry proves, it's that there is room for everyone to feel beautiful! I absolutely hate the concept that if you're a BBW, you are somehow less pretty. I have gained and lost 120 pounds over the last ten years or so due to health issues, and probably 40-50 of those while camming. I have kept a lot of the same customers, and none of them said I was more pretty after I lost weight. I still remember the girl who came up to me when I got to the weight I am now and said, "Oh, you're hot now!" I so badly wanted to say, "Fxck you bitch, I was hot before too!" I wish I had, honestly. So yeah. All bodies are lovely, and screw anyone who suggests otherwise

Yes I agree 200% ! Last night I was the only girl that the asshole custys didn't want a vip from & I left work feeling beyond shitty and depressed. Reading this makes me feel better knowing that weight shouldn't matter & shouldn't affect our price tag. I too hate when other bitches like to come up & say some mean shit to us in our face about our weight. Some women are just built larger than others & of course society & others like to ridicule us to make themselves feel better. At 5'8 175 lbs ,ya I'll admit I hate that number on the scale, but I can carry it well; and at the end of the day most of my customers that I've encountered haven't complained about my weight at all, in fact they've loved every pound.

There's a reason why some of the most profitable ladies in this business are BBWs - because they carry themselves with the knowledge that they are hot as shit and there's not a gd thing anyone could say that could shake that. That's what I want for my sisters, my cam sisters, and hell, everyone!

^This! It's a battle sometimes because bigger girls have been taught through media, other girls, parents even that we shouldn't expect to get the same level of attention from men as thinner women. In most movies/T.V. shows growing up, it was the pretty, thin main character and the chubby, nerdy, quirky side kick. Pissed me off to no end. I struggled with my identity for years. I was a very thin girl until my thyroid went apeshit at 17. I gained 65 pounds my Junior year of H.S. Try as I might the weight wouldn't come off. I did some really unhealthy stuff back then trying to regain my "former glory." I used to hear people in my family say things like " She used to be so pretty", or " at least she has such a pretty face.". Even my MOM! On my 21st bday I got all glammed up to go out, stopped by my parent's and my Mom says " You know, you dress like a skinny girl, you should start dressing for your size." Nice right?! Something I'll never forget.

Thankfully I've had the same man by my side since I was 14. He met me at a size 2 and has been with me and always treated me like a beauty queen no matter what size I was in. Never once has he made me feel like I was less than a 10 because I wasn't tiny. Now after all these years he even says when his eye wanders to a pretty girl, he finds himself attracted to curvier, bigger girls.

I look at my daughters, one is so thin and tiny like I used to be, and the other is taller and thicker, and I want the world to see them both as the beautiful creatures they are.

The overall point of my ramble..fuck the haters, fat shamers and general douchebags. BBW's are gorgeous, sexy women that deserve to be seen and treated like the queens we are. Love your bodies no matter what size and don't ever let some assholes shake your view of yourself.
